THE BILLIONAIRE AND CLASSMATE
Chapter 1: Hired Without a Face
Layla Hassan had finally landed her dream job — HR officer at Arman Group, one of the fastest-growing business empires in the city. She had graduated top of her class, specializing in Human Resources, and this was her chance to prove herself.
What no one knew — not her manager, not her team, and certainly not the CEO — was that Layla once shared a classroom with the owner of the company: Khalid Arman.
But that was long ago.
Before the suits.
Before the billions.
And now, five years later, she was just another employee in his skyscraper — one floor below his office, where she made sure everything ran smoothly… quietly… professionally.
Khalid? He didn’t recognize her. Not in the emails. Not in the reports. Not even when they crossed paths once in the elevator — a brief nod, a polite “Good morning,” and he was gone.
She didn't remind him.
She couldn't.
He had changed. So had she.
But one of them remembered everything.

Chapter 2: The Elevator Pause
She was holding a stack of files when the elevator doors opened.
And there he was again. Khalid Arman. Tall. Cold. Sharp.
He nodded politely. “Going up?”
She stepped in, forcing a smile. “Yes, sir.”
They stood in silence.
Then —
“I’ve seen you before,” he said suddenly, not looking at her.
Her heart skipped. “Probably around the office.”
He tilted his head. “No... somewhere else.”
The elevator dinged.
She stepped out quickly. “Have a good day, Mr. Arman.”
Behind her, he watched her go — brow slightly furrowed.
Khalid stood by the window of his office, arms crossed, his eyes on the busy street below — but his thoughts were elsewhere.
Her voice.
That calm, polite tone.
It stirred something buried.
He walked over to his desk, opened his laptop, and searched through the internal staff directory. He didn’t even know why — until he saw the name:
Layla Hassan
HR Officer – Floor 18
His eyes widened.
Layla... Hassan?
It hit him like a storm.
The girl who helped him cheat in Biology.
The girl who once laughed so hard she cried during final exams.
The girl he once thought he’d confess something to… but never did.
Now she worked for him.
And didn’t even say a word.
His chest felt tight. He leaned back in his chair, whispering,
“She remembers nothing…”

Chapter 4: Her Secret, His Doubt
Downstairs, Layla organized files with practiced ease, but her heart wasn’t calm. Every time she saw him, old memories tugged at her chest.
Of course she remembered him.
Every detail.
But why bring up the past?
She didn’t want special treatment. Didn’t want him thinking she got the job because of “before.”
Meanwhile, Khalid watched from the upper floor — from glass so tinted she’d never know.
He watched her move through the office, confident but quiet. He studied her face, her expression.
“She really forgot me...”
It stung more than he expected.
So he made a silent decision:
If she doesn’t remember...
Then he’d make her fall for him again — from the beginn
