Charlotte Grant's husband and her best friend were both in the Navy, stationed in the waters of Gesmain year-round.

The three of them had grown up together in an orphanage, relying on each other as their main source of support.

One day, Charlotte suddenly received a text message from an unknown number.

"Charlotte, I'm you from ten years in the future. You have to get to the orphanage right now."

When she first received the message, she thought it was just someone playing a prank.

To her surprise, another message from the same number arrived seconds later.

"I know this sounds crazy, but if you don't go, you're going to regret it forever."

Chapter 1
Charlotte Grant's husband and her best friend were both in the Navy, stationed in the waters of Gesmain year-round. The three of them had grown up together in an orphanage, relying on each other as their main source of support. One day, Charlotte suddenly received a text message from an unknown number. "Charlotte, I'm you from ten years in the future. You have to get to the orphanage right now." When she first received the message, she thought it was just someone playing a prank. To her surprise, another message from the same number arrived seconds later. "I know this sounds crazy, but if you don't go, you're going to regret it forever." Driven by a strange impulse, Charlotte went to the orphanage. Just as she stepped out of her car and walked toward the large pine tree, she saw her husband, Raymond Brennan, embracing a woman not far away. That person was her best friend, Sarah Allen. Her breath hitched, and she froze in her tracks, completely stunned. Raymond and Sarah had done nothing but bicker since they were children. There was no way the two of them could be together. They were both her family. Charlotte tried to convince herself otherwise, but her legs were so stiff that she couldn't take a single step forward. At that moment, she felt a sudden movement in her lower stomach. That faint fetal movement felt like a sharp needle piercing through her chaotic thoughts in an instant. Subconsciously, she raised her hand to stroke her belly. As she looked down, tears fell onto the back of her hand without warning. She and Raymond had been married for three years. This was the child they had long been waiting for. Now, however, she couldn't tell whether this child was also part of his lies. Regaining her senses, Charlotte looked up at the scene before her as the two text messages echoed in her mind. If it weren't for those two text messages, she would probably have remained in the dark for much longer. After a long silence, she pressed her lips together, turned around, and slowly walked away in the opposite direction. When she entered the orphanage, Ms. Helen, the director of the orphanage, had just come out of the kitchen carrying a plate of fruit. "Kids, we've got strawberries today! Come and—" The next second, her gentle voice abruptly stopped as she stared at the woman standing in the doorway in surprise. "Charlotte, why didn't you tell me you were coming?" "I just felt like dropping by." Charlotte forced a smile and sat down on a stone bench in the orphanage courtyard. Once the children recognized her, they eagerly gathered around her, looking at her curiously. "Charlotte, when is the baby coming out to play?" "How come you aren't with Raymond and Sarah today?" "Here, have a strawberry!" ... "I just missed you guys, that's all." After saying those words softly, Charlotte could clearly feel a sharp pain coming from her stomach. Her forced smile could fool others, but it couldn't fool the baby inside her. When Raymond stepped into the orphanage courtyard and saw her, panic briefly flashed across his face before he quickly walked toward her. "Charlotte, what are you doing here?" "I didn't mean to show up unannounced," she replied. "I was just passing by and decided to pop in." Sarah followed him, and the moment she saw Charlotte, she hurried over in a few quick steps. "Charlotte, are you okay? You look really pale." Charlotte opened her mouth, wanting to say something, only to realize that she couldn't get the words out. Sarah immediately sensed that something was wrong. "Your eyes are so red... did Raymond do something to you?" "Knock it off," Raymond snapped. "She's my wife. I'd never hurt her." After saying that, Raymond knelt down in front of Charlotte. "Honey, let's get you to the hospital for a checkup." When Charlotte looked up, she happened to catch the fleeting loneliness that flashed through Sarah's eyes. That was it. Her best friend really was in love with her husband. The pain in her stomach grew more and more intense, spreading throughout her body. Soon, she felt a warm wetness spreading beneath her body. The metallic scent of blood filled her nose, and her vision gradually blurred. Just before Charlotte lost consciousness, she saw the panic written all over Raymond and Sarah's faces. "Honey, what's wrong?" "Charlotte!" They really cared about her, yet they had also truly betrayed her.
