Lila’s POV
The sound of Cyrus's harsh, scary voice echoed throughout the bush. "Hello, Lila. Did you truly think you could escape me?
As I stepped away, my heart beating, my hands reflexively went to my stomach. The glowing marks on my skin pulsed harder as the power inside me rattled like a storm prepared to hit. Cyrus's eyes flashed with anger as his huge wolf form loomed over me.
Before I could respond, Kian leaped from the bushes, his body crashing into Cyrus's in a rush of fangs and claws. The growls and snarls of the two Alphas involved in the fight filled the air.
"Lila, run!" Kian yelled, his voice wild.
Two messages weren't needed for me. I turned and ran, my legs burning with every step.
The trees looked to surround me, and the shadows got darker and more threatening.
