The Fake Boyfriend

“ KAYLA COME DOWNSTAIRS NOOOOW” screamed my mom from the bottom of the steps because today was the day she was going to Europe for her business trip again. When I finally got out of bed I went downstairs to my moms room to see what she needed. When I got into her room I saw her running out of her bathroom with more stuff to put in her suitcase “ hey Kayla I just wanted to get you up before I left and I still need to give you money for dinner” my mom said shoving the stuff in her hands into her bag “ thanks mom but are you sure you have to go I mean you can always work from home” I said sounding a little annoyed because mother is always away and feel like we never get to spend time together. To be completely honest the last time we actually spent time together was the day after dad died and after that she just felt like she should work so she can take care of us. “ Kay you know I have to go but i’ll be back before Christmas eve ok?” she said walking out her room to the front door. “ Mom really?” I said opening the door for her “ yes Kayla jeez you’ll be ok, ok I love you and i’ll bring you back something” she said as she kissed my forehead and left, “bye mom and I love you too”. After she left I went to see what time it was and it was only 8:32 so i decided to go back to bed and the best part was it was only Saturday. I finally decided to get up around 12:47 because my best friend Katy wanted to go to the mall and I didn’t have anything else to do so why not. As I was walking out to get in Katy’s car I looked over to see what that water sounds was coming from and it was the neighbors son washing his car shirtless. “ Damn he’s really cute” I thought as I got into Katy’s car “ I know what your thinking and no he’s not all that cute” Katy said “ how did you know I was thinking that like I didn’t even say it out loud” I said being a little creeped out cause I only said that in my head. As we were driving away Katy stopped by the neighbors house and screamed out “ HEY TAYLOR ,KAYLA THINKS YOUR CUTE!”. “KATY!?” I said a little embarrassed “why on god's green earth would you do that like now he’s gonna probably tell the whole school” I said irritated now. Then when I look over he’s over at my door “ well since you think i’m cute here” he said as he gave me a paper towel with his number on it “ call or text me” he said as we pulled off.
