Episode 17

Grief,pain and jealousy

Anna

Beatrice called me telling me my mom is in the hospital, I and Bryan both ran into the hospital

after the taxi dropped us off. I saw miss Beatrice looking agitated and I ran over to her "Ma' am pls

tell me, what's wrong with my mom" she looked at me and Bryan before she answered with a sad

expression "The surgery was not successful"

"What" I crumbled on the floor, its impossible, shook my disbelieving what I just heard "its

impossible, my mom can't be undergoing surgery, its just impossible"

I stood and I noticed Ma'ma Beatrice weeping quietly and just then the doctor came out. I ran

straight to him "pls tell me my mom is not dead" I cloud the tears on my face and fold my hand

begging "pls doc,tell me she's not dead". The doctor looked at me and shook his head........

"I'm sorry we lost her"

"No o o o oo" I screamed so loud and I felt my body going down and I left myself in Bryan arm... .

. . . . . .... . . . . before I finally passed out.. . . . . . . ..

Bryan.

I carried Anna's limp body into a ward. The doctor and nurse rushed into the ward ti attend to her. I

went out to give them chance to do their work. I asked my mom for the details and she told me

how miss Edna was diagnosed with cancer and how she tried to undergo the surgery without

letting Anna know. I also go out to know that she has been in the hospital since so weeks ago.

"but mom,how do you expect Anna to love, her mom is her life"

"I know son" she looked at me before continuing

"You asked me what's in the letter Anna gave to me that day"

"I looked at her what's she driving at so I nodded in the affirmative "Yes I did"

"Edna told me about her illness in the letter and how she want me to Anna under my wing and

care for her. So we've both been in the hospital since she told Anna, she'll be going on a vocation

and now this is the end for her".

I was speechless beyond words, I sat on the chair, waiting for the doctor attending to Beauty to

come out. After a while the doctor came out. I and mom rushed to him...... . . . . "how's she"my

mum asked. The doctor smiled "she's okay ma'am, she just fainted due to the shock" I have a sign

of relief before asking "can I see her now?" The doctor smiled and noddle. I went into her ward

and saw sleeping peacefully on the bed. she looks like an angel............. . . .

I walked to her and set beside her bed. I held her hands for some minutes. After a while her

beautiful eyelids fluttered opened she looked at me sadly and it at my heart to see her to sad

"Beatrice ! ! !

"Ryan? tell me my mum is not gone" she said with silent tears coming out of her eyes "Beauty I'm so sorry" she closed her eyes and wept quietly... . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .I

gathered her into my chest with her head resting on my chest and I soothed her back with my

hands. its OK beauty, don't worry, you've got me here .... . . . . . Mom is also here, ee will both take

care of you .. . . . . . . Please don't cry Beauty, it hurts to see you cry". . . . . . .

After a while, she was able to calm down. Mom and I made preparations for Miss Edna's burial.

She was buried after a week but my beauty still looks sad..

Two weeks has gone by since I saw my beauty face, I missed her a lot which is wired so I

decided to look for her. Due to my rush to go to her, I didn't even wait to bade mom bye. . .. . . So I

just ran as if my life depend on it well it seems so for now cause Beauty seems to be my antidote

now. I was almost at her place when I saw something that stopped me in my tracks. Greg and

Anna no o oo oo my beauty kissing! ! ! ! ! ! ! !..... Impossible. . . . . . . no it can't be. . . . . . . . I

turned back and ran straight to the chocolate house. . . . . . . . Many thoughts was going through

my mind. . . . . . . . I really feel so jealous right now but come to think if it, Beauty is not my

girlfriend she's just a friend but why do I feel so hurt. It hurts much more than when Brenda left

me. I quid drank some water from the bottle . . . . . . . . . I feel so dizzy and it do w n e d on me "I

like her "Oh no, I covered my mouth with my hands . . . . . . . how . . . . impossible. . . . . . I was

pacing the chocolate house . . . . . . . . . I'm not ready to accept the truth "No! No!! No!!!..... I was

still doubting when I heard a voice behind me.. . . . . . "Hello". . . . . . I breathed in before turning

"I'm so sorry WO are cle. . . . . . . . . . I winked my eyes and the person in front of me looks like her

I'm so sorry I couldn't post, like I said I'm so busy and I'm still busy but I'm trying very hard to meet

I posted the last time that Bryan wants to give a name to Anna and I was able to get a

suggestion so note that in Bryan's P.O.V, he used Beauty Instead of Anna so make no mistake

Anna is Beauty and Beauty is Anna. .

She is back

Brenda

I've been coming to the chocolate house unseen......... It's cause I miss Bryan so sooo much but

I'm afraid to show myself to him and it's cause I hurt him Soo badly 4yrs ago and it all started this

way ............

***Flashback***

I am Brenda James,I and Bryan has been together since childhood. We've always been together

and we also planned to get married but I've always wanted to be a model ..........

Yh it's only a beauty that has that kind of dreams and so yes I'm beautiful,tall slender and

Roch........ I've got he perfect boyfriend but I still wanna be a model so that's the reason why I go

for audition and the likes but luck soon shined on me when I met K. Stones enterprises V

president Davies Stone....... We clicked and that's the beginning of my success........

I was still going steady with Bryan but he noticed that we are going farther apart but he still

continue to show that he loves and support my dream.....

I had a big break in my career when I was chose as the top model for K.Stones enterprises to go

for a modelling shoot at johnnessburg ........ I was so happy... It was 4 days to I and Bryan's 5yrs anniversary together.

When I got the news,I had a mixed feeling... Bryan or my career. I truly love Bryan but I guess my

career is much more important to me than Bryan so I decided to tell him on our anniversary.

"Hey babe" I called him

"Yes Bree" I love it when he calls me that,it makes me feel I'm all his but it's different Tonight,all I

want now is to break up with him........

"Bree,do u know what today is?" He asked

"Off course babe ,I do"

"Ok ,let's meet by 8 at the chocolate house"

"Uhmmmmmm ...... Babe,why don't we meet up by 6,,,, cause I have something urgent to tell u"

"Ok sure Bree, will wait here for you"......................

My flights by 8 and Davies will be around earlier to pick me up later in the night...

I got into the chocolate house but it was surprisingly dark,,where the hell is Bryan ,I thought we

agreed to meet here.. I switched on the flashlight of my phone to find my way back to the door but

I mistakenly step on a switch" oh! My! God!" I jumped in fright and everything lights up......" Wow it

looks so beautiful"....

Everywhere was shining brightly and I read an inscription on a banner. " HAPPY 5 YEARS

ANNIVERSARY BREE"

I Was stunned and a teardrop slipped from my eyes. He appeared before me grinning from ear to

ear. I was speechless and I didn't know what to say but I know that I should say something "

Babe I...... I........... I....." I was cut short when he knelt down and brought out a velvet box

containing a diamond ring........

"Uhm Bree..... we've known each other ever since we were kids and we started dating,I know we

are meant to be together so I'm asking u to be my life partner". He cleared his throat while looking

at me in the eyes

"WILL YOU MARRY ME BRENDA JAMES "

I knew this day would come but I never expected it to be today " uhm Bryan ,I have something to

tell u"

"What's it Bree"

"Uhm..... Why don't u stand up first" he stood up and i cleared my throat

" Actually Bryan, I've finally got a contract at johnnessburg" he smiled

+Really......... When,where,how, when are u leaving"

Actually Bryan, I'm leaving tonight by 8"

"What!!!!!" He looked shocked and disappointed

"I know I should've told u but it came up suddenly" he smiled a little

"It's ok,I understand Bree"

"No u don't understand" I flared up looking at him in the eye

"I'm leaving for good and I won't be coming back"

He looked like he couldn't understand what I said................. But when he finally understand,his

expression changed from happy to sadness then to hurt..........

". What are u saying Bree, u mean u wanna break up with me after 5yrs" he scoffed "you must be joking,tell me u are joking Bree" he held my shoulder and shook me aggressively..

"This is my big break Bryan,u don't expect me to just let it go"

He let go of me......I can see how hurt he is......he said crying"what about us Bree?"

"I'm sorry Bryan,but I've got to do this"

He wiped the tears from his eyes and I can see hurt written clearly in it........

"Bryan......,I ......"

I was interrupted by a figure behind me ....... I totally forgot Davies came with me and I could see

anger replacing the hurt in Bryan's eyes..

" So u are leaving me cause of him?" He said angrily pointing at Davies......

"Bryan.... I...."

"Nevermind Bree,I understand you"he wiped his tears putting his hands in his pocket before

turning his back to me.....

"Leave Brenda"

"Bryan ..... I .... I'm sorry"

"LEAVE BRENDA,I DON'T EVER WANNA SEE YOU AGAIN"........

Davies stood behind watching the drama going on ,I feel so sad and wept so hard before Davies

took my hands to lead me out of the cafe when his voice stopped me.....

"I regret ever lovng you Brenda James"............................

I left that night but I'm back now an I'm no longer going anywhere....

***Present day***

I went into the chocolate house and I saw Bryan pacing to and fro..... He still looks as handsome

as before but I had to get his attention so I said "HELLO"

He turned to me and his look changed from shock to hurt and fI'm hurt to anger...... Hmmm this is

not gonna be easy........,

Homeless Beauty

Bryan

I was dumbstruck when I finally realized that I like no .....no I mean I have feelings for Beauty.... I

never thought it possible but it has actually happened and I seem to really like her but I saw her

and Greg together............ When I heard the opening,all I just wanted we as for the person to leave

so I can concentrate on my new found feelings for Beauty but I was met with the shock of my life

BRENDA. I was shocked but when I remembered how she treated me, I was overwhelmed with

anger instead .

"What the hell are you doing here"

"Bryan I...."

"Stop it ........ Do I know you?"

"Bryan......" She was already weeping lightly.. I know I shouldn't yell or be angry considering the

fact that I just realized my feelings for Beauty but still,I just can't help but shout at her. I'm not

ready to see her yet

"Brenda....Leave!!!!!"

"Bryan ...pls...... I'm back for u.... I'm not leaving again...... Bryan"she tried to hug me but I slightly evade her

"Brenda....." I sighed deeply ",I've already forgiven u but leave at least for now"

"Bryan!!!!!"

I looked at her, indecision crossing her expression but the decywas taken from her when Greg

came in with Beauty in his arms. I feel so jealous but I quickly calm myself ...... I can't allow

anyone to know of my feelings yet. They came in oblivious of I and Brenda's presence.... But when

Greg finally noticed Brenda,he was surprised and shocked before glancing to me .I noticed Beauty

was asleep ,her face looks so beautiful but it's obvious she has been crying.

"Uhm Bryan..... Am I interrupting something?" Greg asked looking concerned

"It's nothing Greg" I smiled reassuringly at him while pointing at Beauty"what's going on with her?"

He shrugged before answering "it's a long story but first things first,I need to tuck her in,she

weighs a ton" I chuckled softly"come with me"

We both ignored Brenda as we took the sleeping beauty up to my room in the chocolate

house....... thankfully Greg didn't ask any questions you concerning Brenda...............

We were done with tucking Beauty in an by the time we got downstairs, Brenda was already gone

.... I sighed deeply sitting on a chair

"So bro.... Isn't that Brenda?"

"Yes it is" I said going to get us beer handing one to Greg"said she's back for good"

" So isn't that great.... I mean her coming back"he said taking a swig of his beer

"Don't know.... can't say" I said sitting beside him"forget it bro, what's wrong with Anna"

"Hmmm,welll Anna said the lawyer were at her place 3 days ago telling her to move out of the

house said it has been mortgaged"

"What!!!!" I was surprised

"So u are sayyAnna is homeless right now"

"Yh Bryan.... Can't take her home so I was thinking maybe she could stay with u and ur

mum.........u know for the meantime"

I looked at him like is he saying what I think I'm hearing!!!!! He wants I and Beauty to stay to ...

"What's it Bryan".....he looked at me for a while"oh....I get it,,, u don't want Anna around you.....no

qualms bro,I totally understand"

"No u don't understand" I screamed in my mind so I smiled instead......"it's ok,it's no trouble at all,

she's free to stay as long as she wants"

Yeah!!! I said no trouble but I know within me that there is hell of a lot of trouble,,,,,,,,how do u

expect me to live with her without expressing how I feel.............yes this is o sweet kind of trouble ..

Greg

I had initially gone to visit Ann when I saw her crying..........it hurts to see her cry so I consoled her

by taking her out for fresh air ....on our way back,she told the ready for her tears ............... I

hugged her and after some time,I sighed Bryan running towards us. I watched him stop abruptly

when he saw the way I was holding Ann and I could see jealousy in his eyes. True to say , anyone

who sees us right now would think we were kissing and yes that's what I want Bryan to think but when I saw Ann weeping in my arms,I made a decision there and then.......... I'm gonna

matchmake these two. I know Anna likes Bryan and judging from Bryan's reaction now,I just

confirmed that Bryan has feelings for Anna so all I'm gonna is to make sure they are stuck

together........... I found out was already dozing in my arms so I took her to the chocolate house

and that's my first step in joining these two together in my OPERATION BRIANNA yes that's for

Bryan and Anna.... Wow it's gonna be fun.

Ok guys what do u think of Greg. .....and now Beauty and Ryan are gonna be living together what

Living arrangements

Anna

I woke up to the chirping of the bed with a slight headache. I looked around the unfamiliar

surroundings...

"What the hell,where am I?"

I asked myself getting up fromhe bed. My eye caught a photo resting on the wall,the person in the

picture looked familiar,,,who could it be...... I thought scratching my head and just then ,the door

opened....

"You are awake".

It sounded more like a statement than a question but i Still turn around to confirm if the voice

belong to whom I thought it is ....

"Ryan"...

I mentally slapped myself...the little boy in the picture looks so much like the smiling Ryan in front

of me...

The aight o him I doing something in my stomach...oh my gosh ,how I miss him so much...

"I u keep staring at me more like that,it's not gonna make me more handsome you know"...

He said showing me his white teeth...I did not know when I ran to hug him.....he looked surprised

at first before hugging me back..... I sobbed on his chest.....

"It's okay Beauty"...he said

caressing my head "everything's gonna be fine"...

I raised my head up to see him smiling...,.

"I'm sorry I ruined ur shirt"

He chuckled lightly "no prob,u can always wash it".............

I raised my brow up and gave him the"what do u mean look"he smiled once more and gosh he has

been smiling since morning......

"Come down for breakfast, mom's waiting for u"....

I stood still looking at him and he nudged me towards the bathroom......

"Go freshen up, u will understand soon"..........

Well that he or me moving and I heard him shut the door......., Phew ....... he's finally gone now I

can concentrate,,,,,,"what the hell is going on"one way to find out is to freshen up and that's what I

went to do..................Some minutes later

I just finished breakfast with Ryan and his mom at the chocolate house.

"Thanks but ma'am"

I said after clearing the dishes....she smiled before asking me to take a seat...... I looked around

the chocolate house and I find it empty ....guess we didn't open today...hmmm I heard miss

Beatrice say something to about living arrangements....

"So Anna,u will be staying with Bryan and I at the apartment".........

What!!!!!!!this is unbelievable,how can I stay in the same house with Ryan..... I laughed nervously

in me,,,, I'm very sure this is a joke....... I looked at Ryan who pretended to be engrossed in his

phone....this is definitely gonna go wrong.... I'm not saying am not attracted to Ryan but seeing his

face first thing in the morning and the last in the night is definitely gonna be a sweet torture........

Miss Beatrice hands on mine feels so good and nice.....she clasped our hands together...

"I'm sure staying in that house will give u memories about ur mom"..

I kept on looking at her..... I'm sure she does not know I'm crying inside.....I smiled a little....

"Thanks ma'am"

"Ok then"she stood +Bryan will go with u to take ur belongs".....

"Ok ma'am" I looked over at Ryan who's still pretending to be busy with his phone........

"Alright will see u both at home"...

With that ,she took her bag and strode casually out of the chocolate house ...now it's remaining I

and Bryan.. i turned to find him staring intently at me....

"What's wrong"

"Nothing!!!"he stands up pocketing his phone"so......are u ready now"......

I smiled"hmmm.off course"

After a while,we done with packing my stuffs,I went to mom's room to pick some of the

valuables....I still have a few weeks to get the house ready for the mortgage company.....I sadly

closed the door as I stepped into the sitting room where I saw Ryan waiting. ....

He looked up before saying...

"Are u ready?"....

I scoffed and he asked .."what!!!"

"You seem impatient to get outta here"........

He shrugged"well I just thought u are through with whatever u are doing"........

"Tell me Ryan,where did the idea of us living together come from?"......

He looked restless"c'mon Ryan,talk to me"..

I said moving closer to him whiyhe kept moving backwards....I smiled mischievously.......it feels so

nice teasing him........

"Beauty........ Beauty..........what are u doing"

"Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!you are shaking Ryan"................

"Stop it Beauty."he said his back hitting the pillar in the kitchen......"I just wanna know who suggested I stay with u"..........

"Uhmmmmm........mmmmmmmmm......mmmmm"

I was looking at him and I must say nervous Ryan is rare to see and here he is right in front of

me...I watched him run his hands through his hair nervously... I followed the gesture with my eyes

and it landed on a letter on the kitchen table. I moved towards it leaving Ryan who followed my

movement with his eyes.. I picked the letter up on getting to the table,I read through the content

and my heart shattered once more for my dead mother... Bryan rushed to me as he held me in his

arms and all I could say was....

"I'm sorry Mom,,,, I'm so sorry mom"

Letter from Mom

Bryan

We were already home and Beauty is upstairs sleeping hmmmm she's in a lot of pains ..........I told

Mom about what happened earlier in the day........

***********************Flashback****************

"I'm so sorry mom" ..........

I saw Beauty holding a note while clutching her chest and weeping so uncontrollably...........I was

still shocked from her teasing spree but I rushed to hold her tight and close to my chest....after she

calmed down ,I was able to collect a note from her which has a heading...

A NOTE TO MY LOVELY ANNA

"I know you would read the letter today cause I'm very sure u didn't earlier on..hmmmmmm I just

wanna tell u that Mama is so sorry for leaving you behind,,,,,I also want you to know that ur dad

and I love u so very much..... I mortgaged the house cause I know it will hold a lot of memories for

u and I deposited the money in your account but I will like for u to stay with Beatrice until u get

over everything....... Remember my sweet Anna that mom loves u a lot

Present time...

"How's she doing son?"........

My mom asked concerned....

I sighed deeply"hmmmmmm better......I think..... I'll be taking dinner to her soon".....

"Ok ..."mom said obviously done with her meal"make sure she eats somethy"..........

"Ok mom"I said lightly...............

After I'm done with dinner,I took beauty's own to her.... I knocked severally without an

answer.......o....k...... that's weird, she's supposed to have answered by now.......I scratched my

head undeciding whether to go in or not but I chose the first option and went in.........The room was

dim and I found Beauty on the bed............ carefully drip the meal on the bedside table while I sat beside her and shook her lightly.....

"Beauty......wake up" I whispered to her .......seeing no response from her........I shook her again

"Beauty dinner's here.....wahe up" still no response.

I went to the other side of the bed hereby making me rest my body on the bed..."beautyyyy"

At this,she opened her eyes looking disoriented .........

"Who are you.....get off me"

She rushed out shouting.....I had to stop her asbi put my hands over her mouth....she struggled

with me making the lamp fall to the floor hereby making the room more darker.....

"It's me Ryan....."

She looked at me for a while before she finally recognize me.....so I removed my hands.......

"Dinner's ready,,,,,,,,decided to wake u......."

She looked ate blinkiyher eyes....

"Ok...... thanks"

Now ....why does it feel so awkward and hot in here..... she's on the bed and I am ..........oh

....my... God.....how did I get on top of her.......the room is dark, Mom has gone to bed.......and

beauty's doing that thing with her eyes again.............Now what

Its been days since Bryan and Anna has been living together and I must say, they are quite

close. Bryan is always watching out for her and Anna....... . . . . . . . . don't even get me started,

she blush easily and even tried to hide her face .. . ah . .ah.. . ah so hilarious. I saw her trying to

pick something from the top cabinet, she was stretching and struggling to get to it but Bryan took it

form behind her... . . . . I saw her turned to him in surprise widening her eyes . . . . . . I understand

she does that anytime she's surprised. .

I saw Bryan mutter something to her and she smiled a little and nods her head. hmm m m .. I

sighed as I arrange the table in front of me things is going as planned but these one issue . . . . oh

shit that's the issue . . . . . . . . . . . . BRENDA . . . . . . . I wonder what she want . . . . . . . .

Everyone frozen when I got into the chocolate house . . . . . . . I scanned the room and I saw my

Bryan with the girl I always see him anytime I come over here.. I always have an excuse to come

to the chocolate house. . . . . . . .

I remember one day. I came to the chocolate house because of my friends as an excuse just to

see Bryan and he in turn would act civil and ignore me. . . . . .

Well today I am here on an official business . . . . My manager told me that I would be going on

a week tour to model for a cafe or something well I found out its the chocolate house and right now

no one can imagine how happy and delighted... . . . . . .

I was having fun with Beauty . . . . . .After her first night in our house I made a mental note not to

her room in the night again because the urge to kiss her is too strong. . . . .

I was toasting her when I noticed the door opened and Brenda came in. Everyone stood here

wondering why she's here this time. . . . . . She's always having an excuse to why she's here

anytime she comes and I have decided always ignore her but today's different, she's dressed up. .

. . . . . . .well . . . . . . . She's always dressed up but today feel different . . . . . I mean, she's

dressed up more like the model she is and I won't lie she's looks more beautiful. . . . . . . . I

watched her for sometimes wait, is she waiting for someone to escort her to a seat or what? ? ? ?

? ?.. . .. Well I'm not in the mood to leave Beauty's side's in fact none of us is a making move to

usher her ni. . . . . . . just what the heck her business here. . . . . . .

After 5mins of hugging, mom asked everyone of us to gather

I and Greg exchange a look as we all moved to the table. Mom cleared her throat and began. . .

"well,we have decided to open a branch of the chocolate house at Korea. . . . . Seoul to be

precise and Miss Smith here will be modelling for us"

OK . . . . . This is the first time I'm hearing this . . . . . We have a branch at Korea? ? ? and Brenda

will be modelling for us . . . . . . so how does it concern bit Greg voiced out the question in my

mind. . . . ."But ma'am. . . . How does it concern us ?. . . My mom smiled and I know that smile. . . . . She

wants to d r op a bombshell

"well that's because we will be going too

I mean all of the employees of the chocolate house will be going to Korea by the end of the

week". . . . . .

And yes that's a bombshell . . . . . . . . . . but she's not done yet

"and we will be spending a week and 3 days so Mr and Miss, get ur bags readyyy cause by

Monday we will be at Korea" Mom announced excitedly. . . . .

I don't have any issue with going to Korea but why does Brenda have to go with us. . . . . . . .

know, I've been watching a lot of Korean drama and i'm a fan of their songs..... The first Korean

drama i watched was boys over flowers by lee min ho and the f4 followed by the k2 by ji chang

wook o!!.... mi g e e e ee e e e e e e............ . . . .the guy so handsome especially you are beautiful

lead actor Kwang Tea kyung...... . Though they are not as hot and beautiful like the reigning king

BTS but they are all so cute... . . . . . . . . . I'm so eager to leave for Seoul right away but why does

Bryan look as if he just got a sad news.. . . . . . .. I'm sure it must have Something to do with the

model.. . . . .. she has been coming to the chocolate house lately and i see the guys trying to be civil with her but i think there more to it. I mean who wouldn't wanna go on a week an 3days

excursion with this stunning beauty She look so much like i u in dream high Korean Drama but

why does Bryan have a scowl on his face anytime she's around.. . . . . . . . . . . . .

so funny . . . . . .. I can't help but feel like he's jealous or something . . .

"O yes Ryan". . I smiled turning to face him fully he smiled a little "do you have a passport?"

what ! ! ! ! Do i have a passport? What! ! ! ! ! ! ! What does he see me as,does he think I've never

travelled outside the country before! ! !.. From the look on his face,it looks like he's enjoying

everything so i decided to play along.

wow w w w ww ww .. .. . Korea is so beautiful I shouted as i hold on to Greg and Ryan's arm

seems the two guys have decided to position themselves beside me all through. . . . . . . . . I ran to

We snap pictures in various position. I held on to Drake and Tony thereby leaving me in the

middle. . . . . . . . . .

He held on to my waist and we posed but but before Tony could snap us, Ryan came to drag me

away. . . . . . . .ok . . . . .. what the hell. . . I glanced at Greg, Drake and Tony who were trying
