The Chocolate Lovers .

Chapter 2.

The guys has been great ,,,,Greg,Anthony and Drake are helluber bunch of fun guys and crazy in

their own way.

Greg is the heart breaker of the bunch,I heard he broke a lot of the female customers heart who

all seems to like him but he doesn't even care,he's just someone who's free with everyone and he

really really make my day.

Hmmmmmmm, to talk of Tony and Drake ,they are both cute and handsome but veryyggg quiet

,anytime there's recess or lunch break,they make my day by playing pranks on Greg which is

very very funny that I end up crying and laughing at the same time wowwwwwww I'm so happy

that I actually got to know these guys but I have one problem and that's BRYAN..

He's such a pain in the ass ,he has tried to get Beatrice and the other Gus to hate me but it didn't

work as planned but to say the truth ,I'm totally sick and tired of trying to get him to be friends with

me .

one day,I remembered going to him for us to make a truce,no more fighting, pranking and making

fun of each other but its like I'm talking to a brick of wall. He's so unyielding, how I so much feel

like spanking him for making life miserable for me here at the chocolate house.

" Uhnnnnmmm" I frustrately threw down the towel I was using to clean the table when Greg

walked up to me.

"Hey Ann,what's wrong" well Greg loves calling me ANN and I prefer calling him

GREGORY,sounds so funny but hr hates it so I use it only when we are both alone

"nothing much Gregory,just frustrated cause of Bryan"

"oh is that so ,don't worry,he'll come around" I scoffed and said "maybe when I turn 30" and we

burst out laughing at my joke which didn't last long cause we were interrupted by Bryan but a

different and smiling Bryan...... one word for him WEIRD.

"hey Anna,what's up"

I and Greg both looked at ourselves in surprise before Greg asked

"are you okay man"

"off course Greg" he turned his gaze back to me and looked at me for some minutes before

saying "Anna ,let's make a truce".

What!!!! Bryan wanna make a truce with me,yh very weird but if he wants a truce that means no

more fighting but friendship and besides ,I will love to know the real Bryan within so yh"its a truce"

I said to him holding out my hand for a handshake which he took smiling " its a truce".

Episode 10

( Perfect Seduction )

Bryan

I asked her for a truce,yh cause that's the only way to get close to her and that's a success for

step 1 now into step 2.

"Uhm Anna,how about you come with me to the store,I need to get some supplies"

"Sure" she said.

I watched her as she rushed through everything she's doing. I also noticed Greg glance my way

like and anxious puppy. I'd give him that ,he knows me much more than the others.

After some mins,I watched him strode over to me

"Bro what's up"

I smiled at him and shrugged

"Nothing man just enjoying myself"

"I know you Bryan, whatever you're planning pls just stop it" I watched him for some mins before

turning fully to face him

"And what am I planning?

"Bro,I practically grew up with you, I've been watching you act nice to Anna since some days aga

after your supposed truce and I know that u just use that as a front so u could hurt her feelings so

telle what are you planning"

I smiled and looked at him straight in the eyes.....

"Don't tell me u like her already"

He couldn't ans for a while and it dawned on me that he truly likes her so I rephrased my

question.." you like her, that's y u don't want me to hurt her"..............

He shrugged and said "well she's my friend and I don't want you to do anything hurtful to her just

cause of what happened between you and Brenda".

That got me angry and I said "whether she's Brenda or not ,they are all the same and screw you

for bringing her up in our discussion" I said glaring at him,,,,,,,,,,,none of us noticed Anna till she

said

"Uhm guys, what's going on here"

"It's nothing, let's go we're running late" I said to her but she kept on looking at Greg who still seemunable to hide his emotion. After a min of silence,he turned to her and smiled" I'm ok Ann,just be

careful out there ok".she nods and waved to him before jogging over to me.

"So where to?"

She asked............

I smiled and hold her hands and she looked at me shocked and surprised,I smiled within,I

noticed she's always like that anytime we make close contact which made remember the last time

in the kitchen

*****Flashback*****

"Hey Anna,you are not mixing it right" I told her after seeing her fight with the bowl of flour in front

of her. She looks so tired with flour all over her face and I'll admit a little bit cute too

"But Bryan, I'm really not getting it right,look at my wrists,it's just too small to mix this mountainous

bowl of flour" and that got me laughing badly,I couldn't control myself so she asked in surprise

"what's funny"

"It's nothing" I told her still unable to conceal my laugh "it's just that you've got flour all over ur

sleeves" I said pointing to her hands ,she still look clueless so I moved closer to help her.

She still kept on looking till I grab her wrist and she opened her eyes fully glancing at me,I

pretended not to see how surprised she is. So I said as I told her sleeves on both wrists " you

shouldn't leave ur sleeves like this when mixing flour,it will make it hard for your preety hands to

handle the flour well"..

I raised my head to look at her and I could see her blushing so red ,I smiled within I'm getting

really close

****End of flashback******

"Let's go" I said as we boarded a bus.....

Fast forward

We are finally done with shopping ,I checked my time and looked at her,she looks stressed

"How go for ice cream,it looks like it's gonna rain" She smiled and jumped up

" Yh I love ice cream" she said going at the front.

I watched her as she swayed her butt and the way she smiled at the little children,the way her

face lit up when she smiled,is it that I'm noticing anything about Anna ,yh it is,she turned back and

smiled "c'mon it's drizzling already" I ran over to her as we both run towards the cafe

.......

We both dusted our clothes and she smiled" wowwwww I love the rain" I looked at her and

chuckled a little,I must be crazy,why does she look so beautiful to me right now .......... I looked at

her again and this time she's also looking at me "what's wrong , c'mon Bryan" she said pushing my

broad chest,I held her hands still and I said the most unbelievable thing

(Crush or love)

Anna

"You are so beautiful Anna " that word got me blushing so o o o o hard, did Bryan just say am

beautiful.......

I must be dreaming,can someone just pinch me right now OMG I mentally slapped myself, it's

really do, we are in the rain and Bryan is standing right in front of me still holding the hands I used

in pushing his chest.

I don't know if its the rain or hig hands, but I feel electricity sizzling through my body and I must

confess this is not the first time I've felt it.

I always feel electricity whenever he touched me or we accidentally bumped into each other,

so I'm not really sure, I can't be crushing on him but why do I feel this way towards him,is this

feeling love or Crush..

We've been standing like this for almost 30 minutes now, though it feels nice to be called beautiful

by him but it's already getting awkward right now and I'm actually lost for words for the first time

"ermml m m m Bryan.............." I was interupted by his ring phone..

He looked lost for a minute before snapping out of the trance he is. He picked the call and

cleared his throat..

"Yes mum, will be home soon, just wanna drop Anna off.............. Ok later mum"

He dropped the call and looked at me,the magic time over and he's back to normal Bryan

"So where do you live so I can drop you off"

I looked at him and I couldn't believe that magic time actually happened"Anna, you okay?

"Off course I am, and you don't need to drop me off"

He smirked "I'm not dropping you off cause I want to be it mum insisted so I've got to do it " he

waved at a taxi "Taxi" after conversing with the taxi man for a while, he opened the back door and

turned to me "aren't you getting in".

I was surprised at the sudden change in him.

I thought he told his mum that he wants to drop me off and now what's he saying that his mum

force him hmmmm I sighed deeply but why do I feel so hurt right now, anyways I walked like

zombie to the taxi and got in.

I was hoping he's gonna got in also but he didn't instead he shut the door and paid the driver.. I

was about to say "G o o d n i g h t* when he just turned without even a glance back at me or a

goodbye . I sighed deeply as the taxi start moving.. Ohhh the day started well and ended bad nut

it's normal for Bryan to change abruptly but why do I feel so hurt why !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched as Bryan hold Anna's hands to go to the store and I feel so o o oo o jealous... Bryan

asked if I like her but I'm not really sure about that and I just like her personality infact its

everything about her that I like.. I love the way she smiles,talks,play or whenever she looks dumb

but does that mean I'm in love with her,well I've never really felt like this about any girl so I'm not

sure if it's Crush or love that I'm feeling towary her hmmmm m m I have to confirm when I see her

tomorrow............. Yes I must ..........

Episode 12

Beating heartbeat

Bryna

Its weird, yes very weird, my heart is going thump! thump!! thump!!! because of HER!!! Its

impossible..... The only girl that has never made my heart beat faster is Brenda so why is my

heart beating fast because of Anna right now, why damn it why?????????..........

I'll admit I had fun while I was with her and I smiled much more than I did ever since Brenda

left me. I had promoted myself thatbi will never love any other women aside form Brenda although

she ain't worth my love, I still love her as madly as it was 4years ago...... Hmmmmmmm.... This is

so confusing....... But I'm sure I can't like Anna, she's just not my type, she eats with all her fingers

and body ewwwwww....... don't mention, she just has a big cheek, I just don't like her "But you

called her beautiful" my sub conscious told me, I run my hand through my hair finding an excuse

for my reactions but none was tangible enough none at all.....

"Bryna, whats the matter" my mum asked as she came into the house dropping her bag on the

sofa before sitting on the sofa..

"Its nothing mum" I said sitting beside her "I'm just confused right now"My mum looked at me intently as if she's trying to decipher what could be confusing me "Its

Anna, isn't it"..... What!!!!!!!! Dad my mum just guess right or is she a witch?? Nah it can't be, my

mum can't be a witch I mean she acts crazy sometimes no scratch that, she act crazy all the time

but still I love her like that and..........

" son, what are you thinking"

"Uh!!.!!!!!! Nothing morn" I smile nervously"

"So is it Anna or what's bugging you"

Now this is something, I can't tell her I'm thinking about Anna,she will find it weird so I changed the

subject entirely

"Uhm Mum, whats the story behind the bracelet"

She looked at me for a while as if going into memory lane "Hmm its a long story...

I'm happy that she changed the subject without probing further into my confusing state. I sat on

the sofa facing her

"well I'm listening"

Episode 13

Story behind the bracelet

My son wants to know the story behind the bracelet so I decided to tell him "its a very long time

ago".........

**** Flash back*****

Its very dark it was my birthday today, I just clocked 18........ Mom and I was coming form the party

hosted by my late dad associatio, its very fun and interesting..... I and Mum was in the car when

our car nearly run over a woman. Steve who was our driver then stop abruptly, he told us that he

nearly hit something, Mom and l was so afraid so Mum asked Steve to check it out. I was already

shaking in my seat but Mum tried her best to calm me down...

"C'mon Beatrice, it might be nothing, calm down okay!"

I was nodding MT head to show her that I heard her when Steve came to our window to knock.

Mum whited the glass down "yes what's it Steve"

"Its a girl ma'am"

"a girl?" Mum asked surprise "Beatrice, wait right here, I'll be back". Mum got off and went with

Steve to the front of the car, after spending some few minutes, Steve carried the girl in his arms

into the car while Mum sat at the front sit with Steve..

Steve drove very fast and in a few minutes we arrived at the hospital where she was registered

immediately, our family doctor attended to her and in an hours time, Doctor frank came out of the

theatre room it looked tired since it was very late

"She's gonna be fine Olivia" He said addressing my mother as her first name

"are you sure Frank, my driver said he hit her"

"No she didn't Olivia, I guest its the shade that made her past out"..

I watched the both of them talked... wait if she only fainted, why did he spend up to an hour in

the theatre room "but doc,if she only fainted, why did you spend up to an hour in there? I said

pointing to the theatre room "with her".

He looked at me for a while as if he was contemplating whether he should tell us something, Mum noticed his discomfort "C'mon Frank spill it"

" well she's going through a trauma and besides she has a minor head injury and also some

marks all over her body"..

I and my mom was shocked but mum still encouraged the doctor to treat her and make sure

she does not lack anything.

Fast forward

Some month later, Edna was able to tell us what happened to her, how her adopted father rape

her and beat her several months after her mother death. Mum and I were so sorry and mom

decided to take her in. We took a liking to each other and we became best friend. Two years later,

Edna met Damon who loves her a lot and asked for her hand in marriage. On the night of the

engagement I fell sick and was rushed to the Hospital.

After several diagnosis, the doctor said my kidney has failed and we need to know transplant

ASAP. Mom was worried, Edna just stood crying uncontrollably in Damon's arm, I guess their

engagement was cancelled.

The doctor tested everyone that afternoon and Edna's blood group matched mine. So she

decided to give me one of her kidney.

*In my ward*

Edna, you don't have to do this" I looked at her and Damon, I guess both of them already made

up their mind.

She held my hand and smile a little "C'mon Bee, I wanna help you, You've helped me all my

laugh, its your engagement today" I said trying to make her change her mind.

She smiled sadly and said "What's any engagement without you, you're my Bestie and you've got

to be there"

She brought out two beautiful brackets form her clutch bag

"Here, Bee, I made this for us" She said weaving one on my hand " and you are gonna be my

maid of honour on my wedding"

I was speechless, I looked at Damon who just smiled a little a nodded, I was so happy I met

Edna

" I love you Edna"

She smile "you know I love you more Bee".

We were both wheeled into theatre and operation was successful.

After I recovered, Edna and Damon are joined in holy matrimony. Few months after, I also got

married to my prince charming Edward. We all still keep in touch until some years ago when

Damon died and Edna left Canada with her five years old daughter Anna......

Episode 14

Late again

Bryna

I was overwhelmed by what mum told me, who could have know that Anna was her best friend's

daughter, although I am grateful to Anna's mom for not giving up on my mom but still that doesn't justify the fact that Anna should should be working at chocolate house...... I mean what's in the

latter, there must be something there "Uhmm Mom?"

"Yes son", I looked at her more intently noticing the slight wrinkle and tiredness etched on her

face "Mom, what's in the latter Anna gave you on her first day here". She smiled a little, and stood

on her feet "its a story for another day"

"But mom" I tried persuading her that's enough son, I'm dead tired" she picked up her clutch bag

before heading to her room.

"Sleep well son"

"Good night mom"

The next day

Anna

My alarm sounded so loud "Grrr,grrr,grrr......." I took it and threw it at the wall.

I heard it smash on the floor and I smiled to myself "Time to enjoy my beautiful sleep"..

I slept some more and when I finally woke up its 7:15 "s**t, s**t,s**t,s**t, I'm late" I said rushing

out off bed, I rushed into the shower, brushed my teeth and washed my face "when I get back, I'll

take my bath yhh this will do for now" I said staring at my dressed self in the mirror before rushing

downstairs "mom I'm awake" hmm m that's weird, my mom is always at the kitchen by these time

but now no where to be seen. I scanned the house for some minutes "well maybe she has an

important meeting somewhere" I went to the table and saw my breakfast and a note I ignored the

latter first and concentrate on my breakfast.

I checked the time after for minute and it'd 7:45 am "s**t,I'm seriously late, Bryna is so gonna be

pissed off" I shifted my remaining bacon into my mouth and ran out of the house shutting the door

firmly.

I didn't bother to greet anybody as my normal routine, I just did what I would have hate if

someone suggest it to me. I can yhhh.... I ran for se minutes before getting to the cafe 8:15 "Phew,

I'm still a little early, right?" I peeped through the glass doors and I can see the other guys "uhh

where's Bryna "I was scanning through when I heard a small cough followed with the voice" .

I can never forget "what do you think you are doing" I turned back and our eyes made contact

and I murmur "Holy s**t, I'm so dead".................

Episode 15

He likes me

Bryna

After yesternight discussion, I decided to be nice to Anna uh..... I'll try. I got to the chocolate house

quiet late and I found a Peiping Anna. I smiled within myself............gosh this sight is so hilarious. I

tiptoed quietly behind her and I heard her say "uhh where's Bryna?" I smiled a little I guess she's

hiding from me so I cleared my throat to gain her attention before asking "what do you think you

are doing?" she looked at me with her huge eyes and I swear she looks so cute, I hid my laughter,

I wanted her to fret a little well I'm also just coming but she does not have to know that ........

"Holy s**t, I'm so dead?" she said after making eyes contact with me. I smiled before saying "You are late Anna" I said without breaking eyes contact with her, I can see beads of sweet on her

forehead guess she has been running. she was also picking at her nails, I noticed she does that

anytime she's nervous.

"Uhm Bryna, you see, I.......,I.......,I....... uhm..........

I kinda woke up late" she said looking at her toes

I smiled gosh I've been smiling since I saw her this morning......... I can't let her know I'm enjoying

her troubled stated. After a while she looked up at me God she has to quit looking at me like that

or else I might end up calling her beautiful again.

"Uhm Bryna??"

"Yes Anna"

"Its getting late, can I go in" she said looking at me as if she's waiting for my go a heed so instead

I took her hands and dragged her along with me.

"C'mon Anna,the coffee shop over there is opened, let's have some coffee"

I didn't wait for her response before I dragged her into the coffee shop.

I saw Anna peeping in from outside, I smiled to myself, I swiftly answered the customer in front of

me. After answering the customer, I was on my way to Anna when I saw Bryan watching her and

smiling to himself, he looks happy. I watched the both of them for a while and I saw him drag her

off. I felt jealousy coursing through my body. This is the first time I've felt like this. I really felt like

hitting Bryan for touching or holding her........ well if that happens, I'm sure the guys would be

surprised ooooooo dang it.

"Greg a customer is waiting for her order" I heard Anthony shout from the counter ......unnm well

its time to get back to work

"Coming"..........

Anna

I'm here drinking coffee with Bryan oh! my!! Gosh!!! did I just say Bryan?

"Yes you just did, i***t";I replied myself before mentally slapping myself. I didn't planned today like

this ............ I had pictured me getting shouted at or bullied but this is totally different yhh

totally.............

"Uhn Anna?"

He called name so beautiful, I liked the way my name sounded when he calls it. I looked up to see

him staring very hard at me then I realised he's waiting for me to respond

"Yes Bryan?"

He sipped his coffee before dropping it down. Well I've never seen Bryan so nervous, ever,looks

like he wanna say something important. The day already staring nice, I hope it doesn't end badly

like yesternight's Cause that's one of the reason I was late today. I glanced at him and this time around, he was looking at his coffee, okay this is serious

"What's going on Bryan"

He looked over at me and we made eyes contact. Wait!!! ! ! !!..... the way he's looking at me is he

about to say he loves me or what!!!!! My heartbeat pick up pace like a train going at its

fastest..........

"I like you Anna"

My heartbeat just stopped, am I hearing what I think he said then I looked at him and I see the way

he's looking at me.......... Oh my gosh he likes

Unknown pou

I watched as Bryan dragged a beautiful girl to a coffee shop opposite their cafe..... its been long I

see him smile and the girl with him seems nervous. I watched from Afar. Truth be told. I've been

here since morning watching the both of them and the urge to run over to hug him was so o o

strong but first things first, I need to make him understand that I'm back for good and no one is

taking my Bryan from me.....

Episode 16

Be my friend

Bryan.

I just told Anna I would like her to be my friend and she just kept on looking at me, she didn't

reply me "Anna, why're you not answering me?"

"Uh" She still looked dazed, I guess she's surprised well I am too, cause this is the first time

I'm asking a girl to be my friend.

"Uhm Bryan, did you just say that you like me?"

What!!! ! ! !.. No, no,no no:, no wonder she was dazed and surprised. she has got it all wrong

"No its not that Anna........... I mean I don't like you".

Disappointment was written all over her face and she looked hurt which surprisingly hurt me

too...... I wonder where that came from, its just that I don't like seeing her hurt

"So you don't like me?" She asked

"No ! ! ! ! ! ! I mean yes I like you. . . . . . . No I mean" gosh? I'm so confused right now, she

looked like she's about to cry, her eyes were already filled with tears. "I got it Bryan,you don't like

me" She stoop up and she was about to go but I held her hand preventing her from leaving.

"Its not that Anna, I mean you are getting it all wrong, what I was trying to say is that I would

likes us to be friends. . . . . . . that's all" she looked at me trying to comprehend what I said then

she blinked twice and said an "Oh h h I didn't know that" and I see that her tears has vanished

wait. . . . . . Where's the Anna that was about to cry now, wow this is surprising. I checked my

watch and its way past ten in the morning and we are still here

"Time to go" as if on cue, her phone rang, she looked at the screen then at me before

answering

"Yes mom" She listened intently for a little while before saying "okay mum,will take care of

myself so see you when you got back next week. . . . . . . . OK bye"

she looked at me before saying "that's my mom, will be travelling till next week so I've got the

whole house to myself" she giggled and smile a little but why do I feel like there's something wrong somewhere. . . . . . . . . She dropped her phone in her bag before standing up

"OK Bryan, time to go"

"Whoa wait, did you just call me Bryan"

She looked at me struggled "Yh so what?"

I chuckled and blinked twice before she said "and besides we are now friends so your name is

Ryan from now on" She said before going out of the shop. It still sound absurd, I mean she just

called me Ryan instead of Bryan well I guess I've got to find a name for her too yh that'll be my

assignment. . . . . . . yes a name for my friend.

Anna

I just called Bryan the name I've been dying to call him ever since I met him and I'm glad I did

although I was a little disappointed when he said he doesn't like me but still he wants to be my

friends with me. . . . . . . .

I came out of the coffee feeling so good.

"Hmm m m mm" I breathed in the focal scent from the flower shop by the left hand side of the

busy road before looking over at my now friend

"Ryan . . . . . . . . . hurry up, we are extremely late already " He looked at me, smile a little before

jogging to my side and we both walked into the chocolate house conversing like old time friends.

General POV.

Its been three days since Anna and Bryan became friends. The others were surprised but they

were both happy that the two enemies have finally become friends. Greg was happy but the way

Anna and Bryan talks and hold hands. Beatrice has not been coming to the chocolate house

regularly so no one finds it weird. Anna has been enjoying her home alone day who knows when it

will end although she misses her mum but she's happy she's also not around.

It's been way past the one week Edna said she'll be back, Beatrice also no where to be seen. . . . .

. . . . Anna was walking back home with Bryan after trying her moms phone that still kept on

saying "switched off" Strange but Anna struggled it off.

Bryan

I was walking Anna home after the days work,she looks so worried about her mom but I calmed

her down. I'm also worried about my mom but I'm sure she can take care of herself. Anna and I

have became extremely close over the last few weeks and I finally got a name for her. . . . . . . . . . .

. yh. . . . . . Sound cute for her.

"We are here " She announced

I looked at the house, well this is not the first time I'll be walking her home but today feels different

. . . . . . . cause I don't wanna let her go. . . . . . " . . . . . . take care of yourself" I said intertwining

our hands together. She blushed and looked at our linked hands. Is it strange that I don't wanna

let her go . . . . . . . . I looked at her intently and I couldn't resist the urge to kiss her. I bent to kiss

her when her phone rang. . . . .she picked it without checking the caller I'd "hello" I saw her face

expression changed "I'll be right there" She dropped the call and she answered my Unasked

question "Its my mom". . . . . . . .
