Episode 19

After all left Vikram’s house, Anuj stood up and said, “I think you don’t believe my words, that is why you took their help.”

    “Nothing like that Anuj, everything was going against us, so, I thought that they might help us,” said Vikram.

    “Anyway, I am not interested in listening to your excuses,” said Anuj and looked at Naina and said, “I think we should leave now,” and started to go out.

“Listen Anuj, I think you are taking everything in a wrong way,” said Vikram and tried to stop him.

Anuj turned and looked at him and then looked at Sneha and went away from there without uttering a single word.

Naina made a sad face and said, “I think I have to leave now, I am going to miss you both,” and started to follow Anuj.

After two days, Vikram was in the station and was in deep thoughts, when KK entered his cabin and said, “Sir, I think we can capture him now, it is the good time.”

“Are you sure, we can do that, what if everything goes against us, this time, Sneha won’t spare us,” said Vikram thinking about something.

“Sir, we have proof against him,” said KK encouragingly.

Vikram thought for some time and said, “I think we should go before something bad happens,” and came out of the cabin and started to walk towards the vehicle, when his mobile started to ring.

“Hi, Sneha, is everything okay?” Vikram asked, answering the call.

“Yes, I am alright and I want to say just do your duty, don’t think about anybody,” said Sneha and disconnected the call.

Vikram smiled looking at his mobile and KK said, “I think you got permission from the head office,” and ignited the engine.

“I don’t know why, but I am feeling as though, I am doing wrong by hiding things from Sneha,” said Vikram.

KK just listened to him and concentrated on his drive, when Vikram turned towards him and asked, “why am I getting a doubt that she knows everything?”

KK didn’t reply and Vikram looked at him angrily and asked, “you called her in the morning?”

KK just nodded his head as yes and Vikram asked, “can’t you hide anything from her. We don’t have strong proof, can’t you understand the seriousness?”

“Madam said, if I don’t tell her everything, she will complain to the head of the department against me saying that I only attacked her a few years ago,” said KK making a sad face.

“You i***t, what proof she has against you that she will complain,” said Vikram angrily.

“I didn’t think about that,” said KK biting his tongue.

They reached the bungalow and rang the bell and Anuj came and opened the door and looked at them confused.

“Mr. Saxena, you are under arrest,” said Vikram showing him the arrest warrant.

Anuj started laughing and said, “you can’t prove anything against me.”

“We don’t want to prove anything, we just want you to tell the truth,” said Vikram.

Anuj started laughing and said, “If you think by taking me in remand, you will get all the proofs against me, then let me remind you, I will get out in no time.”

“If somebody knows that we have taken you in remand, then they will definitely take you out, but what if we will not follow the rules?” asked Vikram smiling and looked at KK.

“You are not going to do that, right?” asked Anuj, but KK dragged him towards the vehicle and pushed him inside, and tied his hands and mouth.

“Sir, where to go?” asked KK looking at Vikram.

Vikram thought for some time and closed Anuj’s eyes as well and signaled KK to drive.

KK smiled looking at Vikram and started to drive towards the destination.

After some time, Anuj was taken to one dark room and tied to the chair, and KK opened his eyes.

Vikram sat before him and said, “you have two options, get out of here by telling the truth or stay here without food or water.”

Anuj just smiled and started to observe the surroundings and Vikram started laughing and said, “I know you have some good habits and I studied about all of your habits, so this time I will be careful,” and tied his eyes and opened his mouth.

“You can’t break me, Vikram, you don’t know about me,” said Anuj laughing.

“We will see about that as well,” said Vikram and went out of the room.

Vikram and Sneha were sitting on the couch and looking at each other angrily when KK entered and looked at their angry faces and started to go out slowly, when Vikram said, “come here, Mr. KK and take your seat,” said Sneha teasingly.

He turned and looked at Vikram and said, “I have some urgent work to take care of,” and started to go out.

“I know your urgent work, Mr. KK, come here now,” said Vikram with a heavy voice.

KK came and sat on the opposite couch and smiled looking at them.

“She is saying to treat him as a prisoner only and not to think that he is her brother,” said Vikram making himself normal in front of KK.

KK looked at Sneha and said, “you mean to give him the third degree?”

“Whatever you do with the prisoners to get the truth,” said Sneha and walked towards the kitchen.

“Madam, he saved your life, don’t you think you should show some kindness towards him,” said KK.

“I want the truth to be out,” said Sneha angrily.

“We can use other methods like using his weakness,” said Vikram.

“You know only his strengths, not his weakness,” said Sneha coming and sitting beside him and offering snacks to KK.

“Madam, I don’t think that is going to work,” said KK

“We will see if it works or not, but first we will try to break him physically, later we will decide what else we can do,” said Sneha looking at Vikram.

“KK, make arrangements,” said Vikram and went into his room.

“Okay, Sir,” said KK and started to go out and stood in between and asked, “Madam, he is your brother, he saved your life, then why you want to be so harsh on him?”

“I doubt that he only killed my parents,” said Sneha making a sad face.

“If he killed your parents, then why did he save you?” asked KK looking at her confused.

“I also want to know the same, KK, please don’t ask me any more questions,” she said, turning her head to the other side.

KK and Vikram entered the room and Anuj smiled with the sound and asked, “what are you planning to do with me?”

“We are sorry, but we want the truth,” said Vikram.

“You will never know the truth,” said Anuj.

“If you could cooperate with us, it will be easier for both of us,” said Vikram making a sad face.

“I can’t do that,” said Anuj.

“KK, start it,” said Vikram and started to go out.

“Vikram, if you will cut my body parts also, the truth will never come out,” said Anuj turning towards Vikram by his walking sound.

“Once the stick breaks, I think everything will come out automatically,” said Vikram smiling and went out.

After some time KK came out and said, “Sir, he is not responding.”

“Did he lose consciousness?” asked Vikram, looking at KK.

“No Sir, he is still conscious, but not opening his mouth,” said KK taking his chair.

Vikram thought for some time and asked, “where is Naina?”

KK looked at him shocked and said, “she was not at home, which means either she is in danger or she is killed.”

“s**t,” said Vikram and ran inside the room and asked, “where is Naina?”

Anuj started laughing hysterically.

“Mr. Saxena, I am asking you something? Did you kill her?” asked Vikram, looking at him confused.

“You are an investigating officer, not me,” said Anuj and started laughing again.

Vikram came near him and hit him hard on his face and went away from there.
