Episode 12

    Peter caught Naina by her neck tightly and pushed Anuj away with another hand and Anuj fell on the floor.

    Vikram came near Peter and tried to free Naina from his grip, but Peter hit him hard on his neck and he also fell on the floor.

    “Peter, leave her,” said KK coming near him and before Peter could hit him, he pierced the Cross in his back and Peter looked at him with red eyes and fell on the couch and closed his eyes. Naina started to breathe heavily to fill her lungs with air.

    Anuj came to her running and hugged her tightly.

    Vikram stood at his place and said, “I think your enemy is dead, now there is no one to trouble you both.”

    KK also came near them and said, “Sir is right, your enemy is dead, but unluckily our Peter is also dead.”

    Vikram patted his shoulder and said, “it was written in his destiny and no one can change it.”

    Sneha made a face but didn’t utter a single word.

    Naina and Anuj bid goodbye to them and started towards their house.

    They reached their house after some time and were happy thinking that they are now free of any enemies and laid on the bed as they both were tired of all the happenings.

    Anuj was sitting near the river and Naina was sitting resting her head on his shoulder.

    Anuj, you promised me that you will be with me in death as well.

    Yes, I told you that I will be always with you, here and hereafter.

    “How can you back off at this moment when I am waiting for you for so many years,” she asked without raising her head.

    Anuj thought for some time and asked, “I am not understanding what are you trying to say Naina.”

    “You are not my Anuj, you have changed a lot and they have changed you,” she said and rose from the seat and without looking back went and jumped into the river.

    Anuj was shocked by her act and started shouting, “Naina.”

    Naina arose from her sleep when she heard Anuj’s shout and was shocked to see him shouting in his sleep. He was sweating profusely and saying something in his sleep.

    Naina started to hit him to wake him up and after some time Anuj woke up from his sleep and looked at her shocked and looked at his surroundings.

    “Are you okay, Anuj,” she asked giving him a glass of water.

    “I am okay, I think it was just a bad dream,” he said and laid on the bed and closed his eyes again.

    Naina smirked and thought, “no Anuj, it was not a bad dream,” and laid beside him.

    Anuj closed his eyes, but sleep was far away from him and he was thinking, “she is still with us and I have to be careful before she attacks Naina again.”

    Naina came near him and hugged him tightly and kept her head on his chest and thought, “I am with your Naina, Anuj, but this time I will be careful that she could not overpower me and take you away from me. I will become Naina for you if you want me to be like that.”

    Anuj slept after some time and Naina arose from the sleep and went into the kitchen.

    Vikram was discussing one important case with KK when he saw KK’s leg was bleeding, but he is not feeling anything.

    “KK, do you have any pain anywhere,” asked Vikram looking at him confused.

    “No Sir, I don’t have any pain,” he said and got busy looking at the file.

    “Vikram became suspicious about him,” but thought of confirming before taking any action against him.

    “KK, I think you need to go to your house and rest, we have to attend court tomorrow, as we have to produce that doctor before the magistrate,” said Vikram looking at KK.

    “Okay, Boss,” he said and rose from the couch when he felt the pain in the leg and fell on the floor.

    Vikram came to him running and supported him and made him sit on the couch and called the doctor.

    KK, you are injured this much and you didn’t feel any pain, how can it happen?

    “I also don’t know sir, I am not understanding what happened to me, I am also thinking the same, how can it happen,” said KK looking at his injury.

    Sneha said, “he was possessed with someone else, who has left just now, don’t inform him anything.”

    Vikram looked at Sneha confused and looked at KK and waited for the doctor.

    After some time, the doctor came and treated KK and went away.

    “KK, do you want to stay in my guest room for today?” Asked Vikram looking at him.

    Sneha was looking at Vikram confused.

    “Sir, I need to go home, otherwise, my mother will kill me, you know in the name of the family, I only have my mother at home,” said KK trying to get up from the couch.

    Vikram thought for some time and dialed KK’s mother’s number and informed her that they both are going out of the station for work and will return tomorrow evening and disconnected the call.

    “Sir, it is wrong, how can you lie to my mother?” asked KK pouting.

    “Shut up and come with me,” said Vikram and helped him and took him to his guest room, and laid him on the bed. 

    “Sir, thank you, for helping me,” said KK and closed his eyes.

    Vikram off the light and went and sat near Sneha.

    Sneha smiled and asked, “I want to tell you one story, will you listen to me?”

    Vikram looked at her confused and asked, “Don’t you think, we have already gone through different stories today?”

    Sneha smiled and looked at the other side.

    Vikram said, “Sneha, I want to listen to your story as well.”

    Sneha looked at him and smiled and said, “I think you need to take some rest for today. We can talk about that tomorrow.”

    “No, I want to listen to your story as well and want to know what my wife has in her kitty to tell me,” said Vikram adamantly.

    Sneha smiled and said, “okay, let me start to narrate one beautiful story, but you should not ask any question in between.”

    Vikram looked at her suspiciously and asked, “do you want me to tell the reason why you left the job?”

    “Maybe or may not be, you have to decide what exactly I have told you,” said Sneha and arose from her seat and went inside the room.

    Vikram looked at her retreating figure and thought, “she told me that she wants to tell me the story and she went into her room. She is very confusing.”

    Vikram waited for some time and thought, “she might have slept,” and arose from the chair when he saw Sneha coming out of the room.

    Sneha smiled looking at him and said, “let’s start the story” and came and sat on the chair and Vikram took his chair.

    One beautiful day, one pregnant lady came to the hospital for delivery and after some time she delivered two babies, one boy, and one girl.

    The nurse of the hospital took some money from the rich family and gave one baby to them and informed the mother of the baby that she delivered only one live child.

    The mother thought that she lost the baby and went home and start to live a happy life.

    One day, the nurse came to her searching and informed that lady that she sold her baby to the rich family for money, and now as they are dead, she is living in the orphanage.

    The mother thought for some time and asked, “how does she know that girl is the same girl?”

    “I did a big mistake by separating the child from her mother and I used to keep track of that girl so that nothing bad happens to her,” said the nurse and gave her orphanage address and left from there.

    The mother thought for a few days as she was busy with her work as she lost her husband and she doesn’t have any other person to support her. She was in a lot of problems that she was not able to think of extending her family.

    Vikram looked at her confused.

    Sneha smiled and said, “mother is always a mother, she was not able to stop herself from meeting her daughter. She went to the orphanage to meet her daughter.”

    She saw her beautiful daughter and hugged her tightly and cried for a long time, till she was able to compose herself.

    She completed all the formalities and took her daughter to one hostel and admitted her in the hostel and said, “I have a lot of undone work, if I am alive, I will definitely return to you in one year and take you with me, if I didn’t return, then you can think I am dead.”

    The girl looked at her confused as she didn’t understand what her mother said.

    The lady sat beside her daughter and said, “you look exactly like your father, who died some time ago and you have a brother who looks like me. I know I am not in a state to help you at this time, but I promise that you won’t have any problem with spending your life happily as I have arranged everything for you,” and gave her one card.

    “Mom, I don’t need all these, I want to be with you,” said the daughter crying and hugging her mother.

    “If it is written in our destiny, we will definitely meet again and spend our time together, but for now, you can spend as much as you want and study wherever you want,” said that lady and went away from there.

    The daughter waited for her mother for two years, but she didn’t return, but she got a letter after two years, which was written by her mother for her.

    I am sorry, but I don’t think I can make it out, my blessings will always be with you, take care of yourselves and don’t worry about the money, I have made arrangements, you will get the money until you are 21 years old, so, that you can complete your studies.

    The daughter cried for a long time and slept on the floor without caring about the cold weather, when she heard her mother’s voice saying, “it is cold outside, you will catch cold, sleep on the bed.”

    She woke up from her sleep and searched for her mother for some time and fell on the bed and cried for some time and slept.

    Vikram looked at her confused and asked, “I didn’t get anything from this story, is it just a casual story or you are telling me about someone?

    Sneha smiled and said, “I said no questions in between, but you broke the rule, so the rest is any other time,” and arose from the chair and started to go.

    Sneha it is not fair, “please complete the story, I promise, I will not ask the question.”

    At least tell me it is real or casual.

    Sneha smiled and said, “it is a real story of one daughter who is still struggling to meet her family and loved ones,” and went inside the room and locked the door.
