Half an hour later, I’m sitting in the driveway in front of Kane’s house in shock. Of course, he has a beautiful home but it’s not only beautiful, its the gorgeous mansion that I use as a marker to know when my turn for home is coming up. Right now, my car is the only vehicle in the driveway. I bet Kane parked whatever he drives in his garage. For a moment, I consider that Kane is playing a cruel joke on me and that this isn’t really his house at all. I quickly decide that isn’t true. I doubt he would have left me another generous tip tonight if it was just a joke about me coming over.
