CHAPTER 2

1072 Words
Noah looked in Lily's eyes. He wanted answers but Lily was freakishly quiet. He held her between his hands. Being a man of temper he was trying his best to stay calm. "Why did you do this?" He said leaning towards her. He wrapped her in his arms to feel her warmth. "I n-never loved you N-Noah." Her words crushed his soul. "I know that you are lying, I just don't know why?" " No Noah" She pushed him away "You are over possessive and selfish. I have loved you but I am not in love with you." Before he could even understand anything she left the room. He stood there puzzled for a while and then went after her but she was gone. Nobody had any idea where she went. Noah Williams was one of the best businessmen of the country. If the media found out that he has been abandoned by some girl, not only his but also his family's reputation will get destroyed. For the sake of the family's reputation Noah was forced to accept this marriage in front of the world. Unwillingly he introduced Jessica as Mrs. Noah Williams. Jessica felt his detest when he aggressively held her waist in front of the cameras. ~~ It was getting dark now. Jessica was in Noah's room. She felt like the night was mocking her because her future was going to be even darker. His sister was kind enough to let her in their mansion while her own step-mother, Beth abandoned her. Instead of listening to her side of the story she slapped her. She walked around the room. Polyester carpet, floral curtains everything was just Lily liked. In fact he made a small library in his room because he knew Lily was a bookworm. Even though he hates to read. Actually he doesn't hate reading. He hates to see the world through other’s eyes. She went to the washroom and splashed cold water on her face. She didn't even want to look at the girl in the mirror. What has she done? She never should have agreed to marry Noah. But it is not like she had an option. It was a stormy night. Something hit the window, she got cautious. Every sound alerted her. She knew very well what was waiting for her. She was terrified of him. He was not going to be easy on her, he thinks she is the reason Lily eloped. What shall she do now? She can't tell him the truth. She heard footsteps nearby. This must be Noah. He is home. She was feeling breathless. How will she face him? He kicked the door open and walked in with unsteady steps. He was too drunk to even stand straight. His bottle was empty so he opened the wine cabinet and pulled out another. Jessica was feeling pity for him. "N-Noah you are a-already drunk, don't drink more." She was concerned for him. Noah was taken by surprise on hearing her voice. He was not expecting her here. He turned towards her "What are you doing here?" "I...I..." She started to stammer. After all she was his wife where else she was supposed to be. He threw the bottle towards her. She dodged it but a glass piece hit her on her leg. He took the support of the cabinet to stand up and took a step forward but he tripped on the wine and fell down. Lily was coming to help him but he signed her to not come close to him. He walked towards her "She left me because of you." "No N-Noah." He grabbed her hair. "Ahh..." She struggled to free herself but he tightened his grip. He pulled her closer and bit her lips ``This is what you want isn't it." He ran his hands around her waist. She was getting uncomfortable. She looked in his eyes and saw hate. He pushed her on the bed. She tried to get away but he pushed her back. He took off his shirt and threw it away. "N-Noah no g-get away from me you a-are drunk." He grabbed her hands and held them above her head. He slipped his fingers into the top of her pants. Tears rolled down her eyes but they had no effect on him. He was determined to punish her for some mistake that she didn't even make. He slid off her undergarments. She begged him to let her go. He wedged her knees apart with one of his knees and pushed him inside her. She screamed and tried to push him away but her weak little body was helpless. He was merciless and ignored all her pleas. After a point she just gave herself in his hands. ~~~ Sun rays fell on Jessica's face. She struggled to open her eyes like she was aware even the light won't be able to wipe out darkness from her life. Jessica craved love her entire life. Her mother died when she was just one. Her father married a woman, Beth and with her had a child Lily. Maybe the trauma of the past was the reason why she had speaking syndrome as a kid. Her schooling started late. Lily and Jessica were always in the same class After a few years Kevin died leaving Jessica in the hands of Beth. Beth's behavior was never good towards her obviously that was because she was not her own. Although Kevin left enough for both girls, Jessica never got her share. Beth said that she has done a favor by educating her and nurturing her for years. And also she said that Kevin has lost everything in gambling so whatever she has belongs only to her and her daughter Lily. "Morning wifey." Her eyes bulged open. She had no clothes on so she wrapped herself in the bedsheet and sat. Noah was sitting in front of her. She was panting. Words got stuck in her throat and were suffocating her. She was not over the terrors of last night. He came and sat beside her. She shifted and held the sheet tightly. Her body was trembling. "You don't know what you have stepped into 'wifey'." He grabbed her face and made her look in his eyes "I will make your life more miserable than hell." Her bleary eyes begged for his forgiveness. He pushed her away and locked her in the room.
