Chapter Twenty-Two
Something had changed with Harrison; Alex just wasn't quite sure what. He wished he could figure it out though before he lost any more time thinking about it. He hadn't been helping at Sweet Treats for very long, but he already felt like he was just blindly going through the motions here, and it was irritating him. His thoughts were just too focused elsewhere.
The next time he saw Bob and Mary, he was going to question their recent conversation with Harrison. Yesterday was the first conversation he'd had with Harrison since they talked, and he hoped that meant that Mary and Bob had talked some sense into him. Realizing he was still holding the customer's bag, he handed it back to them and moved on to the next one.
