Chapter Twenty-One
Neither of them answered their phones for the rest of the day. They didn't head to Sweet Treats or town at all. After they left her parents’ house, she texted her mom that all was well and they were going home, and that's exactly what they did.
They spent the entire day wrapped in each other's arms, and Sam had never felt better about her life. Both of them put reality on hold, and it was exactly what they needed. Thankfully, her house was close enough to town to get pizza delivered since they still hadn't made time to go grocery shopping, and the teenage delivery guy was the only person they had contact with until the next day.
