Chapter Twenty
Alex didn't know what to do. He had gone back to Sam's in search of her when he heard what happened, and when she wasn't there, he panicked. Thankfully he was able to find out from Claire that Sam had left with Pauline, so at least he didn't need to worry that something had happened to her.
He ended up back at his place, not wanting to stay at Sam's with her so upset with him, especially for something he didn't do. Then Ed had come over and they had a few beers and talked about everything that had happened.
Ed had asked him to pull up the camera footage from the day, and they were able to see the woman, but Alex didn't know her. He couldn't place her in any of his cases or anywhere else. He knew there was no way he had gotten anyone pregnant, because he hadn't slept with
