Chapter 24 Philippe After three days of riding, a sandstorm, and too few flasks of water, they had reached the heart of Dark One territory. Philippe’s shirt was stiff with sweat and sand. The rough texture left the skin of his sides, already tender from the cracked rib, raw. He felt little stabs of pain each time the fabric brushed his skin. Someone had decided after the sandstorm that had rushed over them, to keep him and Shauna together. They were easier to keep track of. Philippe didn’t mind.
