Chapter 25 Shauna
Shauna watched General Nurzan turn his back on them without another thought and walk into the fortress. The second his cloak was out of sight, the guards swarmed around them. They yanked her away from Philippe and threw her to the ground. Shauna coughed and shook her head, trying to clear the mouthful of sand from her lungs and out of her face.
A spear butt thudded between her shoulder blades, and she spluttered, trying to get air into her lungs. She was hauled to her feet, her face inches from a guard.
