Rose's POV
I can't even explain how I got home. My mind was in complete mess. It felt like I had done something in my pass life to deserve such a terrible punishment...
I had managed to mask my feelings until I was out of everyone's sight...
Fortunately, my mother had returned to the village, to carter for her husband. She was mad at me and couldn't stay another night, the day she found out I had pleaded with Anna to act as Abel's fiancee...
I collapsed on my bed, seeming to have forgotten that I was pregnant...
My husband was fighting his fellow man, because of a woman...
Did I really make a mistake? Was I really going to regret all these? But Anna loves Kevin right? She'll keep to her words won't she?
So many questions ran through my mind, making my heart raise in anticipation...
I was just a wife looking out for her husband. I just wanted my husband back. I had even resigned from my job, and had gone back to my former position at Royals...
Thinking of it, I was supposed to be at work tomorrow. I had explained everything to the employees there, so no one was to mention that Abel and I were married and were to consider me a regular employee...
How was Abel going to react upon seeing me? I asked myself, making a mental note to impress him. I was supposed to win him over, even if he had lost his memories...

Abel's POV
I couldn't help but frown at the lady infront of me. She was clearly angry but so was I.
I only gave that bastard one punch and she was acting like I had killed the man in question...
"Are you really mad at me?" I asked in a low tone, but she remained quiet, focused on the medications before her...
"Anna!"
"What?" She snapped, leaving at a lost for words...
"I asked you a question" I said coldly...
"I guess I'm not obliged to answer" she said, her tone icy and void of emotions...
I was about scolding her, but then decided against it, after all, women need to be treated with caution, and a bit of sweet words wasn't going to do me any harm was it?...
"Okay, I'm sorry. I know I over reacted, but I can't stand anyone try to get between us, especially not that Kevin. You know I love you right?" I said in a calm tone, my expression soften significantly...
"You're really so unbelievable. How will your employees see you? First you didn't show up for the party, next you asked me to avoid Kevin and as if that wasn't enough, you went as far as hitting him. What does that make you? A great man with no sense of shame is it? You even asked me to stay back just because you were probably scared I'll elope with him, isn't it?"
She raised her voice, glaring at me. Her brows were furrowed, her expression sour...
Was she really scolding me because of that Kevin?
With this though in mind, I felt s surge of anger rise within me...
"Ann...!"
"Oh yeah! You're definitely going to say, I love you, I don't want anyone coming between us, Kevin isn't who you think he is...
What do you take me for? You just feel you like you can order me around, telling me who to and who not to hang around with?
If the very first day can be like this, what will happen in the next couple of days?
I feel sick already. I just hope you won't give me a reason to re..."
She blurted out, seeming to remember something, ending her sentence midway before adding...
"Nevermind! There's no point in saying anything to you. Here are the drugs, just have them. I need to leave, it's getting quite late"
I listened to her every word, not missing out on her expression...
But her last words seemed to Carry deep meaning. I didn't want to say anything as I wasn't in the mood to pick up a fight with her...
I was about asking to leave when I remembered something...
" You'll have to stay with me for a couple of days..." I said. She was shocked and was about saying something when I abruptly interrupted...
"The doctor adviced me to have to have someone constantly around for about a week or two. I can't think about anyone else but you. Please stay" I said. Though my words weren't entirely true, but I still needed help...
I very well knew that the moment she steps out of the house, she'll give Kevin a call or even run to check on him...
She stared at me intently, as if trying to read my mind...
After what felt like eternity, she finally spoke up...
"I'll be in the guest room" with that said, she stormed out of the room, slamming the door with a loud "bang!"
Once she was out of sight, I felt a bit satisfied...
If she could stay with me for at least a week, it was going to be a good thing...
As for Kevin, we had unfinished business...
The next morning, I was still dreaming when I felt the blanket yanked off my body...
With an idea of who it was, I slowly opened my eyes, but the blurry vision of the person there, wasn't someone I expected...
"Clyde?" I called out, a hint of surprise in my tone...
"What funny thing did you do last night?" He asked, not even bother finding out about my health...
"Anna...?" I asked...
He understood exactly what I meant and quickly explained...
"She stepped out, wanting to get some groceries. She made breakfast and suggested I called you, so we both have breakfast together..."
"Okay" I nodded...
"So, that Kevin..." Clyde raised a brow...
I let out a heavy sight before saying...
"He's definitely after Anna. Do you think I'll give in so easily?"
"It looks like your accident has sharpened your mind a bit"
"What do you mean?" I asked the man who wore a simple smile...
"What if Anna likes him?" He asked...
While it wasn't entirely possible, somehow I felt deep within me that Anna couldn't fall for such a man...
"You know, even if I'm to lose her, not to kelvin. He's such a dumb head."
Clyde nodded before urging me to clean up and have breakfast...

Kevin had just finished with breakfast and was about stepping out, when Kelly walked in, looking dull...
Kevin hitched his brows, slightly furrowing them before coldly asking...
"What are you doing here?"
"Good morning" she greeted the man who was clearly not pleased by her presence...
"And what's wrong with me coming here?"
She asked feeling wronged...
Kevin took in a deep breath trying to relax his nerves, before saying...
"Say whatsoever you came here for. I'm running late"
Kelly stared at him, as if unable to recognize the man infront of her...
"Well, I don't want to be part of this anymore. I think Anna deserves to know the truth. This is an opportunity for her to make up with Abel. It's obvious they both still love each other, but you..."
"Don't even dream about it..."
Kelly was taken aback. He said coldly, his hands forming a fist...
"Why shouldn't I? Isn't it obvious you don't deserve her? I'll definitely make sure to tell her the entire truth. I know I'm not innocent, but I'm not heartless either. She's my friend, that too my best friend. I tried my best to convince her to act otherwise but she didn't listen. I know I was desperate back then, and really needed help, but I just wish I hadn't ran into conclusions...
Once Abel regains his memories and unites with his wife, I'll definitely spill everything. I'm still quiet because I experienced Abel's outburst yesterday. Telling Ann the truth right now, will only cost Rose her husband, which I don't want to contribute to..."
Kevin scoffed lightly before asking...
"Do you even think she'll believe you?"
"She definitely will. She's not stupid. Besides, why was Abel attacking you? It's certainly not because of Anna right?" Kelly raised a brow, leaving the young man speechless...
"I mean, he may have forgotten somethings, but certainly not everything isn't it?"
Came Anna's next question...
"It's none of your business. If I were you, I'll mind my business and stay quiet. I love Anna, and I'll appreciate if you respect that fact. Anna will be happy with me. Do you really think she can still fall for her ex, knowing he's married and expecting a child?" Kevin asked...
"I honestly can't say for sure. But after what happened yesterday, I think Anna may end up suffering the most from all these. If not now, then later. As for Rose, I think she's already getting hurt..."
"Kelly, I believe you're a smart woman. Have I ever treated your friend poorly? Has she ever complained to you about me making her angry or anything suspicious? Do you think I'll be bothered with all these, even getting into a fight with Abel if I wasn't in love with her? Have faith in me. I'll do my very best to make her happy. As for Abel, don't worry. He'll be going on a date with his wife tonight" Kevin said a sly smile playing at the corners of his lips...
Thinking about it, Anna seemed really happy with Kevin and had never really had any complaints...
Before long, she appologize for her sudden behavior and exited his mansion...
Once out of view, Kevin began bubbling inside. He made a mental note to handle things, but he needed to make sure his plans for tonight worked out perfectly well...
He couldn't wait to see Abel's face when Anna will boldly declare "it's over" to his face...
