Alineo remembered his mother’s years of prayer, her fasting, and her unwavering faith. Her hope had brought him into the world. If they had been chosen despite impossible circumstances, perhaps there was a purpose in his own struggles and weaknesses. He knelt in the quiet of his room and felt a truth settle in his heart.
