"Mom, what are we doing about Leeyah?", I asked my mother anxiously.
She looked at me with an exasperated expression.
"Kelita, I've told you to calm down, your anxiety is not helping."
"Calm down?" I snapped. "How can I calm down, Mom? Leeyah is alive! Wasn't the plan for Alpha Matthias to kill her? That would’ve made it easier for us to kill Dad and take over the pack. But now she's alive—what does that mean for our plan?"
I couldn’t understand how she and Jonas were so relaxed about this. Leeyah’s survival wasn’t part of our plan, and her existence threatened everything.
