Chapter 6

1030 Words
Leeyah I fidgeted. I almost wished for the ground to swallow me up the instant that wolf guard walked in. It was the same one I had seen in front of Alpha Sia's quarters. "How can you just barge in like that?" Eden raised his voice at him. "I'm sorry, sir. I didn't see anything," he uttered . "Of course, you didn't," Eden echoed in his ears while I stood there, as I used the duvet to cover myself up. A lot raced through my mind as I maintained that stance of shame. What if he tells Sia what he had just seen? Then I'm doomed. She would definitely send me out of here, and that would be the end of me. No help. Nothing. Just some hopeless princess left with nothing but her shameful body. Suddenly, I felt Eden’s hands on my arms, and I shrugged him off, "Excuse me," I wore my clothes and stormed out. I walked back to the quarters and sat still as the scene replayed vividly in my head. "That guard will spill," I said to my wolf. "He won't. Eden will make sure of it. Plus, that shouldn't bother you," my wolf opined. "Uhn? Why shouldn't it? I just got here, for goodness’ sake. These people accommodated me, cared for me, and now I'm sleeping with their Alpha's aide?!" "C'mon, what would they think of me? The w***e I have been accused of being?" I lamented to my wolf. "You are not all of that, and you know it. We are going to prove it to them someday," my wolf assured. "That aside… Damn!… Eden really knows how to handle a woman's body," my wolf purred. "Shush," I objected immediately. There was no lie in that, but I refused to think about it. Whatever happened in there was not meant to happen. We were both stupid. My mind drifted to Eden’s words before the not-so proud scenario happened. "The price I had to pay to get Sia to help me out." She suddenly walked in, in her wolf form, and transformed back almost immediately. "Greetings, Alpha Sia," I took a bow. "You are too humble to be a princess, you know. Or is all of this because I housed you?" She teased. I let out a smile. "I wasn't expecting to still meet you here. Why not take a walk? Get used to the air around here.." she suggested. "I'm okay sitting here. I want to go on a run with you next time," I answered. "Hmm..next time? Why not now?" She smirked. "But you just came back from one…" "And I don't mind going on another. Let's go," she interrupted. We charged into the woods together, and in the blink of an eye, we were up and running. I raced in my wolf form, but Sia was way ahead, running faster. "Oh my…. that's some energy run.." "This was no competition…" I said, enjoying my pace. I felt relieved as the wind beat my hair backwards and my thoughts played smoothly in my head. For that minute, I was free and had no worries. It was as though I had never faced anything and I was just a female wolf enjoying a fun run in her pack's territory. Then suddenly, I felt pain hit me from behind. "Ouch…" I voiced but kept running. I thought it was a muscle cramp, but then it happened again. Sia was far ahead, drifting and clearly enjoying the run. This was her thing, so I wasn't surprised. I wondered why she hadn't slowed down despite having gone this mile before. The pain came intensely this time around, and I knew I had to take a pause or I would break down. I halted. "What's wrong?" I spoke to my wolf but there was no response. It was unlike my wolf to go silent on me. "Hello…you alive in there?" I jested, but still no response. Suddenly, I felt dizzy as everything became blurry. I tried calling out to Sia, but I doubted she would hear me. Before I knew what was happening, I blacked out. **** "Fuck.." I screamed out of my sleep or whatever. Sia was standing in front of me and it felt just like the first time she cared for me. Now I was in her care once again, but this time around, it was a different circumstance. "Just lay right there," she commanded in an authoritative tone. "Is it the run? Was I running too fast?" I asked, having no idea what I was saying. "Pfff…" she scoffed. "Even the weakest wolf wouldn't pass out from a run," she replied. "Now, I need you to give me your honest answers, because if you don't, It will take me nothing for me to bite your head off…and believe me, I might even get rewarded for it," she threatened. I kept a straight face, as I anticipated her questions with a bit of fear inside me. My wolf suddenly gave a nudge. "Ah, where have you been?" I whispered to her. "Are you talking to your wolf now?" Sia asked. I stared at her in surprise…and she stared back, Oooh..that was the first question. "Uhmmm…yes..I am. But I couldn't reach her when the pain started," I answered. "Weird, right?" I added. "No…it's not. That pain you felt was from the inside…it's contractions," she explained. "My wolf is stretching out?" "No, dumb princess…" she spoke rudely. Sia suddenly turned and signaled to her guards to leave the room. Oh oh…this better not be what I think. My very last day here. Geez! "That guard has spilled!" I mumbled to myself. I knew this move. I had seen Father do it when he was about to make a judgement not everyone would like or perhaps an execution that shouldn't be broadcasted. I panted. That pain was already resurfacing all of a sudden. It was like death knew I was on its way to it's abode so the pain was a welcome song. Sia looked straight into my eyes and paused for a minute. "Do you know you are two weeks pregnant?" She whispered in my ear.
