Jonas' pov:
It took a while, but I finally got my hands on Jasmine. She had done a fine job sticking to the Alpha all night, but I was a patient man when it came to the right things.
I stepped closer, my voice low. “I'm only going to ask you this once, and you’d better give me the answer I want to hear, for your own good. Where is Lori? I left her in your care because of your feeble threats, might I add! So where is she? The hospital wasn’t attacked, but Lori isn’t there!”
Jasmine’s eyes glinted with something I wanted to knock right out of her.
“You can’t even address her properly!” she spat, her voice rising. “Would your tongue twist on its own if you called her who she really is? Did you think I wouldn’t recognize a mate bond, even when it’s hidden?”
