Eden's POV:
I pulled Leeyah to the side. She didn’t resist, but she wouldn’t look at me either. Her eyes stayed locked on the ground, and that only made me angrier.
I scoffed, letting go of her arm. “Is there anything I actually know about you? Is your name even Leeyah?” My voice was tight, controlled…for now. “I need answers because the more I start asking questions, the more interesting this is going to get.”
She stared at me helplessly, lips parting as if she wanted to speak but had no idea where to start. And honestly? That said a lot.
She looked guilty.
Like someone who had just been caught.
