I wasn't sure if Eden's idea was a good one, especially since I couldn't be completely honest with him.
There are some things that are too painful to share.
"How about we start by sharing only what we're comfortable with? As time goes on, we'll get to know each other better," Eden said when I hesitated to respond to his suggestion about sharing stories about ourselves.
I gave him a nod, and he smiled at me.
"Thank you. I guess I'll go first since I was the one who suggested it. Just a heads-up…it's not exactly a pretty story," Eden said, and I nodded for him to continue.
