Chapter 62

1077 Words

Alpha Matthias' POV: With my Beta trailing behind me, we made our way toward the designated meeting spot. I had to give these people credit…they sure had a knack for choosing the creepiest, most desolate places to do business. “We're here, sir,” my Beta announced, his tracker beeping in confirmation. I took a good look around. There was absolutely nothing here. Just a barren wasteland, the kind of place where weird noises echoed for no reason and the wind carried eerie whispers. It was the kind of place you’d expect to find bones buried under the dirt. My Beta shifted beside me. “What now?” I didn’t answer right away, scanning the area again. “We wait.” At first glance, nothing stood out. But then, I noticed an area that seemed to shimmer, as if cloaked. Our hosts were already here.
