Chapter 22 She Was Humiliated And Wronged

After the drug incident at the class reunion, Nathan let Sophia take a rest at home. It was two weeks away before their wedding. Sophia felt bored staying at home. However, Nathan's consideration was reasonable. She is the wife of the President. Sophia lies down on the sofa; when she saw her laptop, she downloaded a game.

When she was tired of playing, she cooks lunch and brings some to Nathan. She decided to surprise him. When she arrived at the company lobby, the receptionist greets her. She rides in an executive elevator as it goes straight to the office of the President. 

There were no people in the lobby as it was still office hours and hours away for a lunch break. She dresses in a lady's clothes and no accessories except her wedding and engagement ring. When she comes out of the elevator, Assist. Adams greet her, 

"Good morning, Mrs. Dyson."

"Good morning too. Call me Sophia."

 "Is President inside his office? 

"No, mam, he was in the meeting room with some of the investors. Just wait inside his office mam, I will inform the President that you come as soon as the meeting is finished," assist. Adams said. 

"Ok, do your job; I will wait for him inside his office."

Sophia read some of the fashion magazines; she was tired and felt sleepy after half an hour. 

"Mam, there's a video game in the lounge. You can go there and play," assist. Adams said. 

"Thanks, assist Adams. I will go myself."

Another half an hour pass, Nathan still hasn't come out of the meeting room. 

"Mam, there are some accessories, clothing, and pieces of jewelry at the PR dept. If you are bored,

"Why don't you come with me to have a visit? 

Assist. Adams took out his phone and called the PR department.

"Please send some of the samples, and take them out. The Pres. wife and I will go over to have a look." 

"Mam, Sophia, these are the clothing company samples for us to check and inspected before sending them to the factory for design. Since Pres. Dyson took over the company he invested in the jewelry and clothing industry, and he's not just focusing on the electronics industry."

"Just recently, he invested in the car software developer who began a month ago." Assist Adams explained, and Sophia just nodded. 

When they enter the room, there were many clothes, jewelry, and accessories for men and women. Sophia follows assist. Adams. Assistant Adams, a girl, called him, there was a problem the model who has to come for a trial fitting had an accident and was sent to the hospital, and said that she couldn't come. 

"What should we do? Assist. Adams.

Why don't you do a favor, mam? 

"Ok, I'll try," Sophia responds. 

Sophia was kind and considerate. This company was of her husband; she has no reason not to help a little. 

"Mam, I think you have the same size as the model." Why don't you try this? Assist. Adams said. 

Sophia tried different kinds of clothes and comment on what to be altered and to add. Assist. Adams takes note of Sophia's suggestion; he received a call and left for a while.

"Mam, there is the last one, the girl said. Sophia looks a little tired; she took the clothes and walks into the fitting room. She looks at the red dress in her hands; very luxurious clothes must be expensive? 

She took off her clothes and carefully put them on, but when she zips the side, it seems broken? 

"Assist. Adams! Miss! someone out there! No one answered; she went out and covered her body with a shirt.

"Miss the zipper it... President!

Why are you here? 

Nathan went toward her hurriedly, and his face looked ugly. He was angry.

Who lets you touch this dress? "Take it off! 

Sophia tried to explain, but he pushed her into the fitting room by Nathan. 

"Take this off! 

Sophia was stunned for a moment; her back hit the wall, and she was hurt, but she keeps her tears not falling. 

Sophia, dare to touch anything? 

He forcefully took off the dress, and her skin was exposed; she pushes him hard. 

"Nate, it's not me.!

Even if you are my..." she cut him off. 

"I will take it off myself; no need to shout at me." With her voice cracks.

Sophia exhales; she feels humiliated. She talks off the clothes off her body as fast as possible and changes them into her own clothes. 

"I'm sorry, President, I'll leave now." She put the clothes in his hands. Nathan did not pick it up. 

She put the clothes down on the table and ran away. Assistant Adams saw Sophia and asked,

"What's the matter, mam." 

She looks at him teary-eyed and runs away. The girl was happy that Sophia was humiliated by the Pres. She couldn't help smiling. Nathan looks at the dress in a trance; "damn it, I'm out of control; I'll lose my temper."

"Pres. Mam Sophia ran out of the company." Do you want me to chase after her? Assist. Adams says. 

Nathan answered, "No need to, let the bodyguards follow her."

Nathan's eyes gloomed and spoke, "Assistant Adams, it seems I could have wronged her; she did not know about that dress. I have gone too far."

Assistant Adams takes the dress from the girl.

 "This dress, isn't it put away? Why did it mix in the clothes for fitting? 

"Pres. the bodyguards called mam Sophia don't let them follow her."

Sophia walked in the crowded streets; tears in her eyes keep falling. Someone taps her on her shoulder. She did not look at who it was; she wipes her tears. She took a deep breath, and the person asked, 

"Did he bully you? 

Josh, Sophia did not want to talk to him.

"Mind your own business." 

"Sophie! Josh called her.

"What can I do for you, Josh? 

"Sophie, I know I'm wrong. I couldn't bear to leave you, but it was Hannah who seduces me."

Can you forgive me? Sophia was stunned; 

"Josh, we have broken up; I hope we don't disturb each other again; goodbye."

Sophie, do you really not forgiven me?

"I've forgiven you, Josh. I have my own life now. I hope you both be happy and live well; then," she walks away without waiting for his answer. She went to her coffee shop and went home to her place. She was angry and hurt; I will give Nate a lesson for humiliating me in front of my colleagues.

Nathan called her many times, but she ignored it and muted her phone. She prepares some clothes, cash, cards, and her passport. Before five pm, she dressed in jeans and a hoodie jacket with a backpack on her back; one floor before the lobby, she went out of the elevator and used the stairs. She called a taxi on the road and went to the airport.

In the office of the Pres. of Dyson Ltd., Assistant Adams talk to Nathan. "Pres. the clothes have been put away. It will never happen again."

The clothes were of Nathan's mother, but Nathan caught her mother in the act of having an affair with another man on the day of his father's birthday. That was the start; he didn't get emotionally and physically attached to any woman because of her mother. He thinks all women like her mother were filthy. 

Nathan looked outside in the streets and asked to assist. Adams.

"She hasn't come back yet? 

"Pres. Mam hasn't come back since she left, and her phone keeps on ringing; she did not answer it."

"Track her phone!

"Yes, President." 

After ten minutes, assist. Adams returns and reported that Sophia was in her place. Nathan didn't bother to follow as he knows she was home.

As night fell, Sophia was on the plane from Palm Spring Airport and was sitting near the window and in a trance. After three hours and a half, the plane landed at JFK International Airport in New York. She booked at Hilton hotel for two weeks. 

She wanders in the streets of New York during the day. At night she can't sleep; she keeps tossing and turning on the bed; she opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling. Her insomnia came back.

As she cant fell asleep, she changes her clothes and goes down into the hotel's bar. She sat by the side and ordered a lady's drink. Someone spotted her and went near her.

"Hi! Miss Hankey." What are you doing here alone?

"Hello! Mr. Ferrell." I"m just having a glass or two as my insomnia was back again."

"Oh, By the way, What are you doing here in New York?

" I took a leave and visited some of my colleagues here."

"Do you want to have some fun!

Where?

"Never mind, you don't like it there."

"Then, Where is it!

"Casino."

"I'm contented in here; after this drink, I can go to sleep."

Are you staying in this hotel? How long's your vacation lasts?

"Yeah,  and I booked here two weeks. Why?

"Me too! I was on a business trip and at the same time having a short vacation."

"Let's call it a night. I think I had enough, James."

"Okay, Can you still walk to your room? Will you want me to bring you to your room?

"I'm okay. Thanks for the offer."

Sophia went inside the elevator; he did not notice James follow her. When she was in front of her room, she swiped the card and went inside the room. She went straight to the bathroom and took a bath. While she was lying on the bed, she thinks of Nathan.

Will Nate look for me? "I think yes, but I want to punish him. It's been three days since I left. I can endure it for a while. I live alone before I can do it."

Sophia doesn't leave a trace, she used cash in any transaction to avoid getting caught by Nate, and she left her phone at home. Home."I miss home and Nate! No, Sophia, you have to endure it talking to herself.

Inside the office of the President, the room was gloomy and icy cold. Assistant Adams speaks; 

"Pres. Mam Sophia uses only cash; she didn't use any of her cards and the cards you gave her, but there is a withdrawal at the airport on the day she left. She didn't contact any of her friends, either her family or her grandfather. She was last seen on the CCTV coming out from her coffee shop."

Nathan speaks. 

Did Bryan call back? 

"Not, yet President." assist. Adams answered. 

One week before the wedding, Sophia hasn't been found. Nathan got worse; he fires every employee who gets a mistake. He couldn't sleep well at night, and he didn't eat much. Assistant Adams got worried about his health. On the third day before their wedding. Sophia called her secretary to passed the resignation letter to HR. It so happens that assist. Adams passes by, and he heard their conversation.

"Director, where are you? "I'm afraid I can't pass it to HR. I don't want to get fired. Some of the employees got fire from the company since the day you left." 

"Please, come back! Director. President..." assistant Adams grabs the phone from Eve. 

"Mam Sophia, it's me assist. Adams Pres. Dyson got crazy; he turns the city upside down and fires some of the employees." 

"He goes berserk; all hell breaks loose" anyone who offends him and makes wrongs got fired."

"Please, mam Sophia! "I'm afraid to even me and Eve; carefully avoid the wrath of President Dyson. He makes the company of Ferrell Group suffer a loses overnight and also Scott Corps. the company of the girl that drug your juice on the night of the reunion."

"Okay. I will call him right away, don't worry."

"Thank you, mam Sophia."

Sophia dialed Nathan's number, but he did not pick up the calls as they were unregistered. But on the fifth ring, he realizes. 

What if it was Sophia? He picks up the call. 

Sophia: Hello! Nate... 

Nathan: Sophia, is that you? Where are you? "I'm sorry, I'm very sorry for not listening to you."

Sophia: Nate, What have you done? 

Nathan: "I don't know, Sophia. I can't control myself; I can't be myself anymore since the day you left me." I miss you so much; please forgive me! Can you give me another chance? Would you please wait for me? I'll pick you up."I love you so much." 

Sophia: Nate, I... Sophia can't control her tears as she heard Nathan's voice; she misses him so much, but she can't speak over the phone. She hung up the call. 

Nathan: Hello! Sophia Hello!. 

Nathan called Bryan, 'Bry track the call I received from Sophia right away, please."

"Okay, ok, calm down," Bryan says. 

After four minutes, Nathan received a text from Bryan that Sophia was in the Hilton hotel in New York. Nathan quickly stood up to get his jacket, wallet, and his car keys. He went out of his office and said to assistant Adams.

"Cancel all my meetings and, as for the rest, you will attend it. I will get my wife back home." Nathan went to the airport and his bodyguards and got in on his private plane to New York.
