Chapter 26 Iceland Adventure

The following day after Sophia and Nathan's wedding, they received an envelope from a courier service. Nathan opens the envelope and looked at the contents. It was an adoption paper for Shiro sent by grandpa Tanaka. 

"Love looked! you'll be delighted to see this."

Sophia took the papers from Nathan and read them. 

"We are now the parents of Shiro? Sophia says, smiling. 

"After our honeymoon, we will visit Tanaka estates and will bring him here to California with us to leave in," Nathan says. 

"We had to change his name to English," Sophia says. 

"It's up to you, wifey."

"What about Matthew Dyson? Sophia said excitedly. 

"Okay, it's a nice name, I agree," Nathan says.

By the way, Is there any news about your pregnancy? 

"I'm working hard to fulfill our grandpa's wishes; we don't use protection so that we can get pregnant? 

How many children do you want Nate? Sophia asks. 

"I want two, a boy as the eldest to protect his sister and a girl that looks a lot like you," Nathan answered.

"I married you to stay by my side; the most important to me is you; everything else is secondary."

"And I want to have a child with you; that was the way to tie me onto you."

"I wondered why I couldn't get pregnant; we should visit the doctor for a check-up."

"Okay,!we will go to the doctor tomorrow."

"Nate, what happened to Liz and Bryan? Sophia ask.

"Remember the night the three of you drank the juice on the night of reunion? 

"The juice was drugged; I bring you home immediately. According to Bryan, there's something happened to both of them, he wants to take responsibility for Liz as he was the first man for her, but your friend was not yet decided."

"My friend Bryan was a good man; we grew up together and didn't keep secrets," Nathan said. 

"Maybe I should help a little push to her to decide as Liz, like Bryan, and Bryan also like her, but they did not see it."

The next day the husband and wife went to the doctor. Nathan scheduled an appointment for Sophia with the best doctor of gynecology, Dr. Alice Canavan, in Cedars-Sinai Hospital. 

"Ms. Sophia Dyson, please come in."

Sophia went inside the room; the nurse called her name. The doctor examines Sophia's blood, urine, and ultrasound. 

"Ms. Dyson, all the test comes out normal. Is there any concern you want to know?  Dr. Canavan asks. 

"Yes, doctor, my period was irregular, and I am newlywed. My husband and I want to have a child. My problem was I can't remember when was my last period was."

"Is your husband with you today? 

"Yes, doctor, he was also having a consultation with another doctor and have some tests." 

The nurse came in and said that "Mr.Dyson wants to talk to Dr.Canavan."

"Ok, please bring him in."

"Dr. Canavan, I'm Sophia's husband, and these are the results of my tests."

"Both your results were normal, and you'll both be healthy. Since you both are here, I will prescribe vitamins for Mrs.Dyson; it seems you've been stress and always tired from work."

"You both have to avoid it,  to conceive a child. She should do yoga exercises to calm her mind and body." "Avoid too much work eat a healthy diet. Especially green and leafy vegetables and fruits. Avoid radiation from computers and minimize the use of a cellphone." 

"The same for you, Mr.Dyson."

"Mrs. Dyson, When your period comes, you should record the dates from start to finish and make an appointment with me."

"Okay, Dr.Canavan, thank you so much."

The husband and wife went out of the hospital and went home. Nathan received an email with the details of their trip to Iceland. It so happens only the grand winner avail, and that was Sophia and Nate.

"Love, come here! 

Nathan put Sophia down on his lap and said  "I would lessen your workload starting the day we came back to work. I want to have a little one running around here," Nathan says. 

"Maybe it's not yet time for us to have a child. We will give Matthew a happy family; we'll love him as our own child just like grandpa does to me," Sophia said. 

"Love, I receive details about our trip; it will be on the 5th of November," Nathan says. 

"Really! great, hahaha."

"Why are you so happy, wifey."

"Because it's one on my wish list to see an Aurora Borealis," Sophia says happily. 

"I will make your wish come true; what are there on your list. Can I know so that I can fulfill it? Nathan says. 

"Hubby, you are number one on my list."

1) To marry a handsome, romantic, had six-pack abs, knows how to cook, men in uniform and a good man.

2) Travel to Iceland to see the Aurora Borealis 

3) Travel to Switzerland to see the Swiss Alps 

4) Travel to South Korea 

5) Travel to Palawan, Philippines, and also I want to visit where you were born."

'Is that all on your wish list? It was so easy."

"Our next destination is my country we will attend Bryan and Nancy's wedding. And I will bring you to Dyson LTD. main branch." 

The next day, Nathan arranged some of the meetings to cancel for they are going on their honeymoon for five days and arrange some important meetings for two days and use Assistant Adams for a week as a substitute.

Nathan and Sophia's honeymoon was in Iceland. They arrive at Keflavik airport at around noon. They travel to Reykjavic for their hotel accommodations for less than an hour. They tour the places and eat their lunch at one of the restaurants in Reykjavic that serve delicious traditional cuisine of Iceland like the "Harofiskur," which consists of dried fish. 

The couple went on whale watching tours, and they depart Reykjavic and try their luck to spot the whales, and it takes them four hours to see the amazing creatures. Sophia and Nathan went back to their hotel and sleep for their next destinations the next day. 

On the 2nd day of their trip, the couple rent a car and drive the golden circle for five hours and enjoy the stunning route and relax. They drove back and enjoy the ride and watch the sunset at Vik. Sophia saw the sunset slowly descend while they were standing on the iconic black beach. 

Sophia takes a picture of them together with the back view of the sunset. Nathan hugs her from behind while they are watching the sunset. They went back to their hotel and ate some Icelandic cuisine like Lamb leg cook in a geothermal heat pit in the ground and lamb soup; they also tried their ice cream and cheese for dessert.

On the 3rd day, they visit the iconic Strokkur Geyser and Gullfoss that erupts every few minutes; at noon, they travel to Skogafoss, the most popular waterfalls, and Seljalandsfoss waterfall Sophia and Nathan walk behind the falls and amaze by the scenery. 

They travel to Fontana hot spring and stay overnight in this hotel. And Sophia learns how to make "Rye bread" the hotel helps prepare the best bake rye bread in the ground using geothermal heat. 

On their 4th and 5th day, they stay at Reykjavic, the capital city of Iceland; they explore the city, eat the famous hotdogs, and visit the Hallgrimskirka cathedral. At night they head out of town and head to darker rural areas. 

Sophia and Nathan drove 30 minutes out of Reykjavic to see the "Northern Lights," the strong lights that you can watch overhead the dancing swirls. Nathan parks their car at the National park, and they go out of the car to stay a little longer to record the Northern Lights on the video camera they brought. 

Sophia bought an Icelandic sweater for her and Nathan, also for their families and friends. They also buy wool blankets as the winter was fast approaching—Icelandic candies for Matt and Kevin and cheese, yogurt, and skincare products like face masks. On the afternoon of the fifth day, they fly back to Newyork and visit the Tanaka estates. 

When they arrive at the estates, Shiro and the puppy was playing in front of the yard. Shiro heard the car stopped; he jumps and hops for joy when he sees Sophia and Nathan coming out of the car. 

"Mom, dad!

Nathan kneels and picks up Shiro. inside the house; on the door were grandpa Tanaka and grandma waiting.

"Sophia, Nate, your back! How was the trip? Grandpa asks. 

"Wow! It's so amazing and very relaxing, grandpa. When you have time to relax, Iceland was the best city to visit."

"Their food was healthy, heart-friendly, the air was fresh also good for grandma. How was your heart, grandma? Sophia asks.

"I'm already fine," grandma said. 

"Come, let's get inside. I know you both are tired from your trip. I prepared some Japanese delicacies too, try." grandma says. 

"Nate! Shiro! Sophia shout, let's get inside to eat."

Shiro sat in between Sophia and Nathan in the dining. Sophia gave Shiro and Nathan some food in their bowl. While they are eating, Nathan speaks.

"Grandpa is it okay with you if we bring Shiro to California with us? 

"No problem with me. Shiro was now your son, and besides, both of your work was there."

"We plan to change Shiro's name into an American name. His name was Matthew Dyson."

"It's okay as long as he was happy with both of you," grandpa says. 

"Shiro, your new name was now Matthew." Shiro nods. 

They talk a lot about their trip; at three in the afternoon, Sophia decided to nap, and Shiro sleeps with her on the bed. Grandpa and Nathan talk about business. 

Nathan found out that Hirohito Tanaka was the 2nd shareholder of Dyson Ltd. Nathan owns 60% of shares while Hirohito Tanaka was 25%.

"Grandpa, Are you; Hirohito Tanaka?

"The 2nd highest shareholder of my company, and owns 25% of shares that never appear in the meeting? 

"Yes, I am Nate," grandpa said. 

"No wonder your name sounds a bell to me," Nathan says. 

"Now that Matt was with you two, we should also visit you there at your place," grandpa says. 

"That was great-grandpa Matt will be happy, and Sophia wants to have a pet dog; we should also bring Ipo along. I'm planning on buying a big house for our kids in the future as Sophia and I want to have a big family."

Nathan and Sophia stayed overnight at the Tanaka and went back to California on the next day with Matt and Ipo in their private plane.
