Sophia's investigation into Alex's past led her to a seedy bar on the outskirts of town. She spotted a familiar face - Victor, Alex's former cartel associate. Victor's eyes locked onto Sophia, a sly smile spreading across his face. "Well, well, well. Look what we have here." Sophia's heart raced, but she stood her ground. "I'm just here for information, Victor." Victor chuckled, his gold chain glinting in the dim light. "You're playing with fire, Sophia. Alex is trouble. And you're just a pawn in his game." Sophia's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?" Victor leaned in, his voice dropping to a whisper. "Alex is hiding something big. Something that could get him killed. And you're right in the crosshairs." Sophia's mind reeled, her thoughts racing with questions. What was Alex hiding? And why was Victor warning her away? As she left the bar, Sophia knew she had to confront Alex. But was she ready for the truth? Sophia's eyes adjusted to the dim light in the shed, and she saw a figure huddled in the corner. "Who's there?" Sophia whispered, her heart racing. The figure slowly stood up, revealing a woman with a kind face and piercing green eyes. "My name is Rachel," the woman said, her voice soft. "I've been waiting for you, Sophia." Sophia's mind reeled. "Waiting for me? How did you know my name?" Rachel smiled. "I know a lot of things, Sophia. And I'm here to warn you." Sophia's curiosity was piqued. "Warn me about what?" Rachel's expression turned serious. "About Carlos. He's not who you think he is." Sophia's heart skipped a beat. "What do you mean?" Rachel hesitated, as if unsure how much to reveal. "Carlos is involved in some dangerous things, Sophia. Things that could put you in harm's way.
