Chapter Fifteen - Gwen Duncombe They listened carefully for several minutes, but all was quiet. Jackson put down his bag and then checked his illuminated wristwatch. It was a few minutes after one thirty a.m. They approached the partly open skylight and peered down through it into the room below. As far as they could tell, there was only one item of furniture in the middle of the room. A glowing orange-colored body rested on a settee. Jackson removed his night glasses for a better look, but it was too dark for him to be able to make out who it was.
