“Get in the car, Mister Mayberry, and this time nobody is going to turn up in time to save you,” sneered the driver.
Horace did not argue. Somehow he felt different, unafraid, even confident that whatever happened, Aubrey would come and rescue him. Otherwise, he would find a way to escape by himself with the assistance of what he knew his eyes could do, let alone what else he might discover they could do.
