I'm aurora, a pastors daughter. We are eight children altogether. Four girls and four boys. We just got transferred from our former church, to a new one. My dad was sent there to revive the church because most of the members left. ***************************************** "Finally we are here" I said underneath my breath. This place isn't even worth it. How can they send my father to this kind of a place all in the name of revival? I cursed almost silently. I was already beginning to hate the place. ***** Hi, I'm Dean. It's nice to finally meet you. I'm aurora, nice meeting you too. Okay I hope we keep in touch, he said. Yeah, sure. I replied. I know you must be wondering who I talked with and where he came from. Well, his one of the guys helping us to pack into our new place. ______________________________________________ After every arrangement, my dad called everyone out to our sitting room for a brief talk. My children, y'all know we just moved to a new environment and you're not familiar with the place and people. However, that doesn't give you the warrant to behave the way you choose to. We are children of God and we should act as a true child of God. No one should misbehave. Have I made myself clear? Yes father. We echoed. Aurora please be careful. I saw you pregnant in my dream. I laughed, forgetting what my father I capable of and who he is. Then he dismissed us. -------------------------------------------------------------- The next day, we had a program in church. I dressed up casually, not trying to impress anyone because I felt my spec can't be seen in a church like this.... I put on my cologne and left for church. TEN MINUTES LATER. I was in church. OMG there are so many pretty girls and boys. What do I do? I underestimated them. I whispered. Okay .... I just need to maintain till I get back home. .AFTER CHURCH. I was already uncomfortable and wanted to leave when I heard. Hello please excuse me. Can I please know your name? I'm aurora, I replied. You're the pastor's daughter right? Yes' I replied . I'm Alexander, Alex for short. Nice to meet you. By the way you look so simple and beautiful. I like that fact , keep it up. I felt happy, inside my tummy danced in joy. Thank you. Bye. ***************************************** Alex and Dean were best friends, they did everything together. I mean their friendship was just so nice and worth admiring. Dean is a cute tall dark guy, he has a semi full eyebrows. His a keyboardist and also kinda filled with the holy ghost. (I think.... I'm not sure.) I mean he acts like a pastor though. Dean stays with his parents. They were only four children (4 boys) Alex is a handsome looking guy. He is tall and light skinned and has a full eyebrows. His a drummer and a singer too. And he is filled with the holy ghost. Alex stays with his mom, in his aunt's house. His dad was late. (Aurora's part) Aurora, aurora? My mom screamed. Oh my goodness!! I mumbled. Aurora? She called again. Yes ma, I replied knowing fully well what she was about saying. What are you doing inside? Can't you see the time? It's almost time to go to church and you're inside relaxing. Have you forgotten that the three days program have not ended? No ma, I replied. Go inside and prepare. I give you fifteen minutes to get ready. Ah ah na mommy, how am I supposed to prepare just within fifteen minutes? How many minutes am I supposed to give you? Don't let me talk too much ohh before I reduce the given time. Infact your time starts now. Immediately I rushed inside my room and started preparing. How can my mom give me only fifteen minutes to prepare? I need to look good. The time is too brief. I looked for a nice dress and put on..... THIRTEEN MINUTES LATER... oya ohh aurora come out. Time up. My mom called out. Jeez, mommy it's not even up to fifteen minutes. What's the difference? My mom asked with a dead stare. I just kept quiet, took my bag and kindly came out before I knew that look on her face. (Anger and frustration.) Few minutes later, we were in church. They were already singing worship. I headed straight to a comfortable place and sat down.. and then I joined them in worshipping. The singer's were so good and the songs were nice too. I looked at the instruments corner and noticed that dean was staring at me. My heart skipped. My god, why is dean staring at me? He is supposed to be worshipping God and not staring at me. I thought to myself. I then looked at that direction and noticed that he was still looking at me but now with a slight smile. I blushed. What is this? I asked myself. What's happening to me? He kept doing that until I decided not to look at that direction again. (Dean's part) I was playing keyboard during the worship section when our new pastor's daughter came in. Woah... I said within myself. I was Lost in thought. i couldn't stop staring at her. She dressed so elegantly. She wore a body hugging black gown that showed he body figure. Damn aurora is so cute..... Just as I was thinking, she looked at my direction and quickly looked away. My heart pounded in a rhythmic way. I wanted to look away but I couldn't. And then she looked again.I smiled at her, she looked away with a confused facial expression. She kept looking at me for a while and stopped later on... Why did she stop? I ask myself . She must think that I'm crazy.
