Duke’s POV
Now I realized that being with Tessa is not bad after all. After Shania decided to went out of our lives…the lives of me and Caelen, this is the first time I got to enjoy this same feeling I have years ago.
Tessa is a good friend. The warmth of the friendship that she’s offering is quite good to be true but I know she’s just being friendly because she was my neighbor after all.
“What?!” I can almost see Caelen’s reaction as I told her everything the next day. I could feel her anger and irritation to Tessa.
“She’s a good friend, Caelen.” I defended the girl. I Tried tojust tried talking about Tessa as a new friend for me but Caelen is not liking everything I said. I tried building her up but to no avail.
