Duke’s POV
I am constantly blaming myself for what Shania did. I can’t believe myself to even wait for Caelen’s scornful statement to finally realize that I am becoming insensitive all along. I am starting to hate myself.
“Duh! Can’t you see? She loves you so much! It’s you who can’t even appreciate that! You’re an animal, Duke. I hate you so much. It’s like you buried your soft heart somewhere.”
Caelen’s words struck his heart like a sword. How can I be so insensitive? How can he let someone leave without realizing that it already hurts the woman he’s entrusting all of his secrets?
I am sitting on my chair that’s situated beside my bed. I can’t sleep so fine either. I tried to grab some book to read but whenever I try, I always end up frustrated and guilty for what happened.
