Ch. 3 You have been poisoned

"what wrong mother?" Danny asked confused.
"as you know I was one of the best doctors in the country before I met your father." She stated as she calmed down.
"Yes but what has that got to do with what happened to my sister and me?" Amanda asked just as confused as she was.
"Well my specialty is poisons and finding cures for them." She said as she paced back and forth. "I think both you and your sister have been poisoned."
"what do you mean darling?" Mr. Long asked shocked.
"I mean that both Amanda's heart cancer and Jessica's leukemia was caused by poisons." She said sitting down. Amanda didn't know how to comprehend all of this.
"Mother can we get proof of who and why?" Danny aske
"I already had a feeling the minute I heard you had gone to the hospital so I already got the proof." She said smiling.
then as they were about to speak more they heard a door open and a man walk in. behind him were Amanda's three brothers. he was shocked to see his ex wife sitting there with his sister and parents.
Without a word Amanda got up and left with her brothers right behind her.
" What was she doing here." Jackson asked his sister. he was surprised to see his sister glare at him. "never mind I'm going to bed."
as he headed to his room Danny's phone buzzed again.
Amanda: I'm sorry for leave so suddenly but gather any and all the evidence you have and bring it to the banquet at the end of the week.
Danny: ok
meanwhile upstairs in his room Jackson saw the papers and picked them up. out of curiosity he began to read them and when was done he found himself not being able to breath. his ex wife was not only pregnant but she was dying as well.
he didn't understand why he was so upset but before he could really think his phone rang. it was his assistant Alex.
"Hey boss I have finished my investigation." He said nervously.
"OK so spill it." He said a little annoyed.
"Well.....boss she is Amanda." He said.
"Yes I know she is my ex wife Amanda." He said more annoyed.
"Yes but she is also that Amanda, the first daughter and child of the Ling family and you first love that had gone missing ten years ago." He replied shocking his boss. in an instant he was on his knees. "I also did a little digging to find who was behind it all and boss it was Sarah and her father Mr. Qin brother to Amanda's mother."
"thank you send all that you have to me right now." He stated as he tried to process this information. when he received this info he decided to tell his family at least so he got up and went down stairs. before he anounce his presence he heard them talking and what they said made his body run cold.
"mother do you have an idea who could have poisoned Mandy and Jessy?" His sister asked his mother.
Poisoned? why and who? what reason would they have to poison my Andy and also why poison Jessy too?
"Yes I do and after talking with Amanda I am sure of it." his mother replied getting angry.
"mother tell me was it Sarah that poisoned my Andy and her sister." Jackson asked not being able to keep quiet anymore.
"Yes I think so...." his mother said glaring at her son.
"I know mom, I had Alex investigate so I know about everything." He said as tears formed in his eyes. "I never stopped looking for her but she was here right in front of me and I was to f*****g blind to see."
he fell to his knees as he thought of all the things he had done and said to her.
"now I'm going to lose her and my child." He cried as guilty and sorrow overwhelmed him.
"you may already have." Danny said as she resisted the urge to run and comfort her brother.
"what do you mean?" jack asked looking at his sister.
"do you remember after she signed the divorce papers how Sarah tripped her." she replied looking away.
"Yeah and her head hit the table and she was rushed to the hospital." He said standing up.
"Yeah well on the way to the hospital she had a miscarriage and the stress on her body put so much strain on her heart that if if Jessy who as you know had Leukemia didn't donate her heart to her sister she would have died that night as well." his sister said as a tear fell from her face.
in that moment his heart shattered into a million little peices. not only did he let the love of his life be hurt by Sarah and him but he caused the death of their child and her precious sister. It was him that brought Sarah into their lives. it was him that caused this mess.
Suddenly both his and his sister got a text. his was from Alex and hers from Amanda. they both had the same file. he opened the file and it was records of text messages from Sarah to her father. they dated all the way back to before the death of Amanda's mother's best friend's death.
if anything they proved that they will be put away in prison for a long time. there was a txt message on his phone and the caller ID popped up as Andy. with shaky hands he open it.
Andy: in light of this new information my family and I have decided to partially forgive you. although your actions were based off of what Sarah and her father have done. just know this it will take time and effort for me to truelly love and trust you again. do not misunderstand though, while I have forgiven you and your sister that is not the case for my cousin Sarah. I will not show mercy and I will bring her and her father down no matter what it takes. She will pay so help me God.
Meanwhile at the Ling family home and they were planning the banquet when Amanda's phone beeped. she didn't expect Jacky to reply but he did.
Jacky: I have txt messages between Sarah and her father. they dated back to before Auntie Su died.
She froze in place. Does this mean that they planed this all along? she asked herself. then it hit her like a fraight train. Uncle Qin had a large life insurance policy on his wife. heart was beating really fast now. then her eyes got wide as she thought of something else.
Suddenly she dialed Jacky's number
"Andy what's wrong are you alright?" Jacky said worriedly.
"I'm fine but I need you, Danny, your parents, and grand parents to come over now and bring what you have with you." She said beginning to feel the fear creep into her body. "Please I will explain when you get here."
"OK." Was all he said before he hung up.
