After the dance, Oliver was feeling a bit shy, but he gathered his courage and finished the performance. Ena, though tired, sat on a stone, catching her breath. Oliver, also exhausted, brought her some water.
Ena smiled and thanked him, sipping the water gratefully. "You dance well," she said to Oliver.
He blushed slightly, replying shyly, "No, I don't dance that well."
Ena chuckled, "Do you always lie so much?" she teased him, her eyes twinkling.
Oliver smiled awkwardly. "It's late, and you need to get up early tomorrow. You should sleep now. Good night," he said, turning to leave.
The next morning, everyone had breakfast together before heading out to find the magician. As they walked, they saw a young woman on the road. Alex approached her and asked if she knew where the magician was, but the girl refused to answer. Alex assumed she couldn't talk to him, so he asked Ena to try instead.
To their surprise, the girl spoke, "I will tell you the address of the magician, but only if you marry me."
Alex, a bit taken aback, shook his head. "I will find the magician myself."
The girl, unfazed, challenged them, "First, leave my area. Fight me in a sword fight. If any one of you defeats me, I will give you the locket that will show you the way."
Alex, confident in his skills, accepted the challenge. They both drew their swords, but the girl quickly and mercilessly defeated him, leaving Alex ashamed.
It was Oliver's turn now. Known for his sword-fighting expertise, Oliver stepped forward. The duel was over in moments—he knocked the girl down with ease.
The young girl, stunned, said to Oliver, "You defeated me so quickly... I beg you, marry me."
Oliver shook his head, "I'm not interested in marriage. Forget about it."
But the girl didn't give up. She hugged him tightly, tears streaming down her face. "Please, agree... just say yes," she begged.
Oliver, feeling sympathy for her, gently held her hand, kissed her fingers, and apologized for not being able to give her what she wanted. In return, the girl handed him the locket.
As they continued their journey, the locket began to glow in the direction of the north, leading them onward.
Ena smiled at Oliver. "You won the girl's heart without hurting her. You treated her kindly. Every man should be like that."
Oliver blushed, a little embarrassed by her praise. Alex, walking behind them, listened quietly, feeling a pang of jealousy, but not knowing what to say.
The locket led them to a waterfall, its light shining brightly. Ena's eyes widened in awe. "I've never seen a waterfall in my life, and it's so beautiful!"
Alex, surprised, asked, "You've never seen one?"
Ena shook her head. "No."
They were puzzled. "There’s no one around, so why is the locket shining?"
Ena suggested, "Maybe the magician is behind the waterfall. Let's check it out."
Alex nodded, "Alright, let’s see if we find something."
As they approached, Ena spotted a large round stone. "There’s something behind this stone," she said. "Let’s move it."
Everyone worked together to push the stone, and eventually, it moved aside. They were drenched by the waterfall, but they were excited to have discovered a hidden cave behind it.
Alex turned to Ena and said, "You did great, Ena."
Ena, feeling proud but modest, thought to herself, This is just like those scenes in the movies my landlady used to show me, but she didn’t say anything aloud.
Inside the cave, the soldiers lit torches, and Alex instructed everyone to stay close together. They continued to explore, but at first, there was nothing to be found. Then, Oliver spotted something unsettling—a massive snake. As they moved further in, more snakes appeared.
Fear swept through the group. Alex, trying to remain calm, said, "There are so many of them, but don't be afraid. Stay quiet. As long as we don't bother them, they won't harm us. We need to move quickly before they get any closer."
Everyone hurried, trying not to make any noise. After what felt like an eternity, they finally made it out of the snake-filled area, breathing a sigh of relief.
Alex saw a light in the distance and alerted the group. They rushed toward it, hoping it would lead them to safety. When they reached the source of the light, they realized the cave was ending. The group rejoiced, but their happiness was short-lived.
A massive, terrifying snake appeared behind them. It was too large to fight, and Alex knew they had no choice but to run. "Everyone, run!" he shouted.
They fled, but in the chaos, none of them noticed the ditch ahead. As they rushed forward, they all tumbled into it, one by one, falling into the darkness.
