Ena sat down with Alex, and he asked, “So, tell me, how did you end up at her house? What happened?”
Ena thought for a moment and then started telling her story. When she finished, she smiled softly and said, “I know you probably think I’m crazy after hearing all of this, but that’s what happened.”
Alex looked at her seriously and asked, “Then why did you jump into the water?”
Ena replied quietly, “That’s something from the past, Alex. We should forget the past.”
Alex’s face showed frustration. “You’re stupid! Are you crazy? You were trying to take your life! Don’t make that mistake again. Life is too precious, you know that, right?”
Ena nodded slightly, feeling the weight of his words, but she couldn’t say anything in response.
Alex changed the subject and said, “Now we need to find the real owner of that mirror.”
Oliver asked, “How do you know the mirror isn’t hers?”
Alex turned to him and said, “She was a thief, Oliver. She wanted to find a way to live her life without getting caught, stealing whatever she could. She must have taken that mirror from some magician.”
Oliver looked skeptical. “How can I believe that you’re right?”
Alex responded confidently, “I’ve seen everything in her house, but there were no magical items there. Just that mirror. We have to talk to all the magicians in the kingdom. Someone must have sold it to her.”
Ena, who had been listening silently, spoke up, “I’ll come with you.”
Alex, with a frustrated tone, said, “No, you’re staying at the palace. It’s safer there.”
But Ena insisted, “People think I know the thief, so it’s important for me to be with you.”
Alex sighed and reluctantly said, “Alright, fine. Let’s go.”
Ena smiled, and Alex couldn’t help but smile back.
Alex went to his father and said, “Father, I will bring back your stolen goods.”
The king looked at his son with trust. “I believe in you, Alex. You’ll bring back all those jewels and your mother’s keepsakes.”
Alex bowed and left to find the thief.
He helped Ena into the carriage, offering his hand, and as she took it, they both climbed in. Oliver noticed this and couldn’t help but feel a little jealous.
They visited many magicians, but none of them had the mirror. In the last house of the last village in the kingdom, they still found nothing. Just as Alex was about to give up, the last magician said, “There’s a huge forest to the west. There’s a magician there who might know about the mirror.”
Alex thanked the magician and set off toward the forest.
After a long journey, they finally reached the forest. It was getting dark, and they were all tired. Alex said, “Let’s camp here tonight. Tomorrow we’ll continue our search.”
Everyone set up tents, and Ena went with Oliver to gather wood for the fire.
As they were walking, Ena asked, “Is Alexa Alex’s sister?”
Oliver chuckled and replied, “Why do you think that?”
“Because you both have the same name,” Ena said, smiling.
Oliver shook his head. “No, she’s my sister.”
Ena was surprised. “She’s your sister? Well, she’s a very sweet girl.”
Oliver sighed. “Only I know how sweet she is.”
Ena frowned. “Why? What’s wrong with her? She’s really nice. Stop saying bad things about her.”
Oliver laughed. “Alright, alright. She’s a sweet girl.”
Ena looked at him with a soft smile. “You speak with so much pain. I wish I had a sister like Alexa.”
Oliver’s expression softened. “She’s like your sister. Don’t feel alone. We’re all like family.”
Tears welled up in Ena’s eyes. “Thank you, Oliver.”
Oliver placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. “There’s no need to cry. What’s there to cry about?”
They returned with the wood, started the fire, and began cooking food. As they were grilling meat, Alex said to Ena, “By the way, you dance very well.”
Oliver nodded in agreement.
Ena quickly responded, “No, I don’t.”
Alex and Oliver laughed. “We saw you dancing last night.”
Ena’s face turned red with surprise. “What! You both saw me?”
Alex smiled. “I couldn’t sleep, so I went for a walk and saw you.”
Ena blushed deeper. “Let’s forget about it.”
Alex grinned. “Okay, I’ll forget, but that dance won’t be forgotten.”
Ena quickly changed the subject. “Let’s talk about something else.”
They continued chatting and laughing until they finished their meal. Afterward, everyone went to sleep in their tents. Alex walked Ena to hers and said, “Good night.”
Later that night, Oliver couldn’t sleep, so he went outside to look at the starry sky. He saw Ena was also outside, and he approached her.
“I can’t sleep,” he said.
Ena replied, “I can’t sleep either.”
Then Ena smiled and said, “Let’s dance.”
Oliver hesitated, about to refuse, but instead, a “Yes” came out of his mouth.
Ena stood up, offering her hand to Oliver. “Let’s go.”
Oliver stood up, and Ena placed her hand on his shoulder. “If you feel awkward, we won’t do it.”
Oliver smiled. “No, I’m fine. Let’s do it.
