“Right, after you went off with Kel when you already had Kayad could you stoop any lower?” Henrietta aggressively stepped forward as she spoke but was immediately restrained by Isla. “No need to get dirty. Kayad will finish him for sure.” Isla tugged Henrietta back and then smirked at Sorrel. Victoria rolled her eyes. Someone would definitely be finished but she doubted it would be Sorrel. Having determined that there was no actual danger Victoria shifted to sit comfortably on the branch and let Sephy move over to settle on her lap. As she stroked along Sephy’s wing petals Victoria contemplated taking the familiar course next year. “Better to save yourself from the humiliation,” Gwenda laughed as she spoke and then added, “we’re nice and will arrange a nice school for you to transfer to.” Victoria shook her head and snickered herself. BPA was the only mixed human other school in the country. The rest where all secluded puritan styles so no way humans would have any ins. “You're probably thinking that you’re a club president as well, so what could Kayad do.” Ella narrowed her eyes as she spoke. “How could a newbie like you compare to the king?” Ella finished with a shake of her head. “Your nothing but a poor imitation. Not a real girl and just a pretty figurehead bad boy.” Freda laughed and then the other girls joined her. Sorrel suddenly straightened while the look in his eyes sharpened. *The plants have been silenced.* Sephy interrupted Victoria’s thoughts. Sorrel had talked about the predatory plant in the serenity garden at length when the school issued the warning and Vale had dismissed the importance. Sorrel had specifically said that plants were normally chatty and so when they were silent there was danger. “How often does Mr Malone come through here?” Sorrel asked. Ella and the other girls stopped laughing as they seemed stunned by the sudden question. “The hell? Have you not been paying attention?” Isla demanded. “No, No you were very fierce. It was all bam, pow bang with the execution of every line. I could not imagine a more elegant and uh um efficient villainess triad but I'm not sure the contest was quite right for me…” Sorrel spoke quickly as he tried to reassure the group. Victoria’s lips twitched in response as she recalled Sorrel’s similar reassurance to them after he trounced them. Though Victoria felt that Sorrel’s reassurance would not be effective this time since his response made it obvious that he was in no way affected by the bullying. “tch, since you're stuck on your flight of fancy you’ll just have to be brought back to earth.” Gwenda snarled as she hit a button on her phone. “Um?  I still think I’m pretty grounded though? But seriously the instructors come through here regularly right?” Sorrel glanced at his feet for a moment before he looked around the area slowly. “You girls did a good job getting him alone. We’ll handle the rest.” Carla announced as she strode into view. “Gotta get a proper payback.” Suzie followed after Carla with her uniform unbuttoned to show her cleavage the succubus looked barely decent. “Get our bang for our buck.” Sally followed her sister while rolling the top of her skirt up to show more leg. “Time for you to take the interest on Kayad’s behalf.” Oliver came last the ogre lumbering behind the trio of girls while swinging his meaty fists. “Oh Hi again. Just quickly before whatever. No one smells something really delicious right?” Sorrel waved at the new group seemingly unconcerned about their threatening behaviour. At the same time Ella and her friend moved back to one side. “smells like peaches and cream.” “Tequila and lime.” “Honey and lemon.” Sally, Gwenda and Isla respond at the same time. “Wait, what payback to Kayad, this is clearly about punishing this little upstart?” Ella asked over the top as she stared at Carla. “Naturally, Sorrel’s taking the beating but since Kayad clearly likes him he should take his failure to protect his little lover nice and hard. Just right for a challenge to his position as king.” Carla responded. “you just sit your pretty selves down out of the way. This is now none of your business.” Suzie. “I was afraid you were going to say that. I hope this doesn’t affect the exams.” Sorrel muttered. “Don’t worry, the principal's mind magic is very good. Short of death they don’t stop anything.” Sally responded to Sorrel’s comment as she prowled closer. “Nothing short of death is it? Well I suppose I do need to sort out a misconception you’re having. Victoria can you take the girls into the main building as fast as you can?” Sorrel spoke slowly as he tilted his head to one side before he turned and directed his final comment up at Victoria with a wave to Ella’s group. Victoria started slightly when Sorrel focused on her. Since Sephy was with her Victoria had kinda figured that Sorrel knew she was there but the casual accuracy that Sorrel showed in turning to her was a bit disconcerting. Still, it was time to do her job her leader had given her a task and she needed to perform. “Right.” Victoria nodded sharply. As Victoria moved the fight started. Carla tossed a magic sphere as the others lunged at Sorrel. “I just need to move the non-combatants as fast as possible then I can help.” Victoria muttered to herself as she decisively turned away from the fight and grabbed Gwenda and Henrietta. The girls all looked stunned but when Victoria appeared in front of them and gestured that they needed to leave they nodded strongly. “I’ll stay. It was my idea that got him into this. I’ll keep watch till you come back.” Ella interrupted with a shake of her head as she reached down and gathered several rocks while simultaneously pulling the decorative ribbon from her hair. “I may not be able to swing a punch but I’m not useless.” Sephy landed on the hedge next to Ella and flared her wings while gesturing Victoria on. With a final nod Victoria turned away and took the other four girls out of the garden towards the main building.
