Chapter 28 - Sit With Me

Sitting beside each other Gemma could help but yawn in intervals between Alpha, Luna and Beta’s coming in one pack at a time to be formally introduced. Just like in the office when pack members would enter they’d keep their heads down following along the red carpet. When at the base of the stage they would kneel and only look up after greeted by Baden. “Alpha Nicholas, thank you for coming. I see you have found your Luna…” The night continued to drag on, the worst part is that they were trapped in these chairs till all introductions had been made. Like seriously how many packs were there, Gemma thought a little to loudly apparently as a chuckle left Baden.

Standing Baden walked to Gemma causing Ian at the door to narrow his eyes as he could not allow the next Alpha in with Baden not seated. As most people in the room were watching the introductions including the Alphas and Lunas who had already entered, his actions were noticed. Every set of eyes in the room were on Baden, as he continued walking directly in front of Gemma.

Gemma mind linked him, “what are you doing, sit down! Everyone is staring.” Gemma looked around the room uncomfortable under the hundreds of eyes watching his every step. Baden smiled at her still moving closer and holding out his hand.

“You’re not going to reject me in front of the packs are you.” Baden’s loud voice carried through the hall. Ian could help, but face palm by the door waiting for this to play out. With a huff, and not left with much of a choice Gemma gently slipped her fingers into his out stretched hand. With a bit of force Baden closed his hand around hers, pulling Gemma tightly to his chest. Dropping his head into her neck he softly pressed his lips to her mark before retreating to his throne pulling Gemma along with him.

Eyes of jealously from around the room scrutinised her. Every female wishing for such a mate to publicly claim and pamper them. Sitting back down on his throne with Gemma securely on his lap Baden seemed unaware of the female eyes devouring his body. He had been too busy worrying about the male ones on Gemma, she was tired and he needed her closer before he lost it with so many eyes converting what was his.

Shifting uncomfortably on his lap Baden brought his face closer to her ear, “stop moving Gem, you’re getting me excited.” Gemma all but froze in an instant, a scowl appearing on her face.

Mind linking him to be sure nobody else would be able to hear. “You are so shameless, I’m never going to be able to show my face at an event ever again.” A smile pulled at Baden lips as he thought to himself good, then ill have you all to myself. Reaching a hand out Baden indicated for the next group to be ushered in.

Gemma was getting tired, probably from the sessions last night until the early morning hours when he couldn’t control or curb his desire. Baden felt bad, but he just couldn’t get enough of her. Right now his scent was completely intertwined with hers and he loved it. Gods he would take her again right now if he could, her just being on his lap sent his senses into frenzy.

At least in his lap she could lean on him for support through the rest of the pack introductions, and he could kiss his mark to alleviate himself intermittently. Win, win scenario. He loved the feeling of kissing his mark while she was in his arms, he could feel her whole body react trembling in pleasure. Even just sitting with him he could tell her body was reacting. The scent was not strong, but her arousal was evident.

Ian finally announced the next group as the introductions continued seamlessly. Each time a new group entered they kept their heads low, when finally allowed to look up shock blanketed most of their expressions. To be honest most people in the hall were still watching in shock, not believing this was happening. Baden never so much as allowed a female near him, but now with his mate it was clear he doted on and cared for her deeply. Many stories of the pack introductions and her curbing of his violent tendencies had surfaced and were running ramped around the hall.

Ian once again announced the next group, “Rocky Mountains Pack.”

Alpha Kai entered the hall with his Beta Robert, Gemma’s father one step behind him. Both had their heads down as they walked down the red carpet. Obviously having caught her scent Kai stole slight glances around the room looking for her in the crowd. Kneeling as per the custom, both males remained with their heads bowed awaiting the Pack Masters greeting.

Gemma was in a state of complete panic. Her body stiffened, fear pulsating through the bond strongly. Trying to stand Gemma was going to flee the room, but Baden securely banded his arm around her body. Mind linking him, “please Baden, please let me go.” Her tone held desperation as he ignored her request holding her tighter. As the seconds ticked by the room descended in to whispers as other began noticing something amiss.
