Chapter 55 – What If?
Holding tightly onto little crying Cole, Gemma felt like her whole world was crashing to the floor. Instantly she could feel the judgement, hearing her name being whispered with Misty’s in the same sentence. Lifting her gaze to she set her sights on Baden, only to regret doing so. Glowing red eyes were full of fury and directed at her. He was so close to Misty that a physical pain started to ache in Gemma’s chest as Baden’s voice sounded in her mind, ‘I have only spent as much time with her as necessary.’ That is what he had said, but even right now, he was closer than necessary. He could have done this alone rather then have her by his side, and everyone knew it. Gemma thoughts was as solid as rock, Misty was up there because Baden wanted her there.
