Chapter One - Café
Eomma called that day. She yelled at me saying, ‘Have you gone crazy!? Settling in the Philippines for good!?That country is never good, go back here. Do not make me tell your father about this Eun.’
It was hard for me to leave the country since I have grown attached to it... Plus, my ex-girlfriend is here. I couldn't just leave like that.
I sighed feeling hopeless about my situation. If eomma could just understand.
I decided to go out today and my own feet dragged me in a flower shop, I don't know what has gotten to me to go in here when in fact I don't like flowers because I'm allergic to them.
As I entered the small shop, I realized that this shop is also café. They just don't sell flowers but also light refreshments and beverages. On the outside, you may think it's just a flower shop but when you go inside you're clearly mistaken.
I did like the smell of coffee but not that thing. Gladly, I have my handkerchief. I saw a young lady on the counter.. she looks beautiful, I thought. Woah.. what's with me now complimenting people? I'm not like this before.
“Hello, ma'am.. ” she smiled at me that made my ears hear my heart-beat getting fast and loud. I could hear it, it sounded somehow like a thud.
“Welcome to Harrieth's café and flower shop. ” She continued after pausing and giving me a smile. Such a genius! I hold my chest feeling worried I might have a heart problem.
She looked at me probably wondering why I'm holding my chest while having such an expression in my face.
“Erm.. What's wrong ma'am? Are you okay?” She asked feeling worried. I composed myself after I remained calm. My heart-beat is now normal, I sigh. I should have an appointment with my doctor.
“Yes, Thank you for asking. ”After hearing my answer, she asked me what I would order. I'm not really hungry so I said a hot chocolate.
It's so weird that everytime I looked at her there's something I feel, I couldn't explain. It's like my tummy would rumble or I feel light.
Huh?
Maybe, I just need sleep since I have not gotten a lot sleep lately. It was very unhealthy for a person to not sleep.
“That all would be ₱49 ma'am.” I gave her my payment without looking at her and immediately leave. If I were a kid, I would think she's a witch for making me feel this way.
