Narrowing his eyes at me he took a step closer, “I know of those brother’s and they are bad news. You will end up in serious trouble if you hang around them. I’m not talking law trouble, I’m talking dead trouble Emilia so take my advice and stay away from them if you know what’s good for you” Before I could reply he was out of the room, the door slamming behind him.
First of all, what is his problem and second of all what does he know about them to warn me about death. He clearly doesn’t know who I am which I can’t really blame him for that one, no one does apart from apparently the Ravenwood brothers. But I want to know what Grey knows especially what he knows about those brothers.
The rest of the day went past in a blur as I was stuck in my own thoughts, question after question. Guess after guess, theory after theory but that’s all they were, guesses and theories. What good is that to me? I needed the certain, the cold hard facts and truth. I was unsure on how to get that without using my magic, the last thing I needed was to expose myself to anyone or confirm the suspicions of the brothers, even though at the way they looked at me and then the comment about the supernatural legends defiantly led me to believe they at least know I’m not human, but do they know I’m the “hybrid”? There was too many things floating around in my head but nothing I was certain on, it was driving me insane. The thoughts just kept continuing consuming me entirely that I didn’t even realise I had walked all the way home after school finished, dropped my school stuff off and was currently standing face to face with my love, mother nature, the forest. Looking around after snapping out of my trance to make sure I wasn’t so blindly followed, once satisfied that I was alone I looked back at the forest. Taking in the deep dark colour of the earth beneath me, the way the green starts off so light at the closest trees and plants, only to become darker and darker, the beautiful emeralds that peak out from deeper within. The vibrant and stunning purples, blue, pink, orange, yellow and red that paint the lower forest with colour from the flowers that have blossomed. The soft buzz and hum of the bee’s, and dragon flies. The little thump of the butterfly wings, the odd croak here and there from frogs that are hidden under the flowers and shrub, from the frogs that are climbing trees and swimming in the lake and the waterholes that are shaded by the leaves of the long-stripped plants, the chirping sound of the birds talking to each other. It made me calm, pushed my troubles and thoughts away so I was only left with the beauty in front of me. Taking a slow step into the depth of the forest my pace started to gradually increase from slow to faster and faster until I was in full Fae speed. Everything passed in a blur until I stopped at the sound of soft giggling. Catching my breath, I walked carefully and slowly to make sure I was keeping quiet, peaking my head around a tree that was covered in vines and moss I was greeted with a magical sight. A group of Fairies playing, flying around in circles with their fairy dust sparking behind them. They dove into beautiful flowers, down to the centre where the pollen was kept before racing back up and throwing handfuls of the soft yellow, golden pollen in the air and watching it float down onto the ground. They held onto each other’s arms spinning in circles like they were dancing, then racing each other around the long green stems of the flowers, through peek holes in the trees, diving through the logs that had fallen and become hollow and covered in moss, walking on the soft delicate petals of flowers all the way to the tip, they started to bounce before diving off and summersaulting into the air like they had just used a diving board and were preforming in front of judges, to add to it the others would watch and cheer at the tricks that were displayed before them. It was incredible to watch, I hadn’t seen a fairy in so long. I had forgotten how small they actually are, they could fit into the palm of my hand. Their wings are the size of butterfly wings, it is unbelievably mesmerizing. I stood there half hidden behind a tree, my head peeking out with a smile on my face. I stayed like that for a while longer before one of them noticed me, panicking at first and warning the others they started to scatter into the flowers and nearby trees to get away from me. I even saw one or two dive under a little mushroom on the ground, keeping close to the stem so they couldn’t be seen under the dome shaped roof of the mushroom. I took a slow step out from behind the tree before raising my hands up in surrender, “I come in peace, I mean no harm to any of you fairies. I am similar to you, I have Fae blood” When no one came back out I decided to do something I rarely ever do anymore, show them my true form. “Wait please I can prove it to you, I’ll show you myself but please don’t leave I honestly mean no harm” I knelt down so I was smaller and lower to the ground so I didn’t intimidate them as much before gently putting my hands in the earth, relaxing, tipping my head backwards I let myself go. I could feel the change, the top of my hair pulled back into my signature Fae braids. The rest of my hair was flowing down my back in soft waves until it hit my bum. A vine crown slowly wrapped it’s way around my head leaving little vines wrapped through my hair. My eyes softly glowed green, my vine birth mark was also glowing along my skin. My clothes changed into a soft silky white dress that clung to my body finishing just below the knees. I could feel the soft electric prickle of magic pulsing through my skin. Earth, air, fire and water flowing in my veins making them radiate a light blue/white beneath my flesh. My bare feet curled at the feeling of earth beneath them, pure satisfaction. Lost in the freeing feeling of my true form I forgot about the Fairies for a moment before a soft sound of gasps surrounded me bring me back to the now. Looking down I saw all the Fairy boy’s and girl’s slowly edge out from their hiding spots, they just starred at me like they couldn’t believe their eyes. Smiling softly at them I sat on the ground and let them fly around me so they could get a better up close look at me in my Fae form. “How do you transform like that? I’ve never known a Fae to do that before” whispered a soft sweet voice, looking to my side I saw the fairy that had spoken to me, putting my palm out so she could stand on it I took in her features. She was so small and delicate, smooth straight blonde hair with streaks of purple and silver glitter, full perky rosy lips, light purple eyes with long delicate fluttering eyelashes. A little button nose, a tiny frame that wore a dress that looked like a flowing flower petal. She was breath takingly beautiful, with perfect little purple and silver wings. “I’m not a full Fae” I answered her quietly so I didn’t startle the others. With my reply her cheeks grew rosy pink and her mouth fell open in shock. “W-what else are y-you?” she stammered, “I’m Fae and Witch with a drop of human, what’s your name?” I hope I didn’t scare them off with my confession because I really enjoyed watching them play. “O-oh your h-her” she once again stammered but this time with a little bit of fear and caution. “Yes but I promise I won’t hurt you, what’s your name?” I tried speaking in my soft calming Fae voice which seemed to have worked because she noticeably relaxed before sitting down in my hand and crossing her legs. “I’m Violet and these are my friends” she smiled back at me. Violet I should have guessed that with how purple she is, looking around I took in all her friends realising that they all are very colourful, but it seems like they all have one main colour to them, it was very cute indeed.
