Chapter 2: First Day

JESSIE'S POV

I groaned out as my alarm went off. 

I slowly slid up in a sitting position on my bed and sighed out. Today was going to the first day of school and I was so nervous. Anything could happen. 

I smiled thinking about how I would look for the first day. Oh yeah suckers, watch out. Jessie Collins is going to kick some ass today.

I laughed at my own stupidity. I clearly was a loner, okay. I looked down at my closet and saw the row of shoe wear.

My mouth curved up into a big grin and I laughed. I sang a song lowly and skipped over to where my towel was.

I walked over to the bathroom and turned the shower elegant knobs as water rushed out.

I walked down flights of stairs and walked into the big kitchen. My mother turned once but did a double take and she smiled.

"Wow, honey you look beautiful," She said.

My father peered up from his newspaper and looked down at my shoewear. 

"Jessie!" he said.

"Yes?" I said with a little annoyance.

"Don't you think those shoes are a little too womenly?" He bothered.

I scoffed. "Don't you think you should back off already? I'm not a little girl," I said. 

My father was a little taken back and he cleared his throat then just looked at me, having nothing to say. 

"Joseph.." My mother calmed him down. 

"You will respect me," He said. 

I was silent for a few seconds. 

I c****d my head to the side and furrowed my eyebrows. 

"Sorry dad?" I questioned more than stated. He nodded me away and I finally sat down for breakfast.

"Now you're lying on the cold hard ground! Oooh ooh oh trouble trouble-" I stopped singing as I looked up my mirror and noticed a county sheriff.

I slowly clicked in my seatbelt and drove away hoping he or she didn't notice my slick action.

I got out of the car and looked around. There was about thousands of different teenagers. Even worse, the school was huge.

I guess I was pretty wrong when I said that the school was probably not going to be big.

I walked towards the main entrance of the school door and tried open it but wouldn't budge. 

A girl with long brown hair and hazel eyes walked towards me and laughed.

"No, the doors don't open until the bell rings. Apparently all of us have to wait outside here for a few minutes. School rules" she quoted with her fingers 'school rules'.

I looked at the door then shifted my eyes back to her. 

"Oh.." I whispered. 

She just smiled and held her hand out, "I'm Hannah, and you are?"

I took her hand and we both shook.

"Uh J-Jessie. Jessie Collins. Nice to meet you" I smiled at her.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"Yes why? No actually I'm not. Im really nervous," I sighed. 

"Today is my first day," I said.

"Oh my god, I want to show you around! It's a big school but come on you'll get used to it I pro-" she was interrupted.

"Hannah!" A blonde tall girl walked over to her with heels that looked like she can barely walk in.

Hannah rolled her eyes. "What do you want Brianna?" She said. 

Brianna, that was her name.

Brianna rolled her eyes back and spat.

"Don't talk to me like that. I can easily tell William to kick you out."

Kick out? Of what? Well, its not that it concerned me but I've been getting curious lately.

Brianna's remark didn't seem to make Hannah care at all.

"Yeah because he's going to listen to you. What do you want anyways? My name is Hannah and you clearly called it out" she said.

I smiled, wow I like this girl!

Brianna scrunched up her nose. "Have you seen William?" she asked. 

Hannah shrugged. "You're no use" she said, and walked away.

Hannah looked back at me before turning around to see Brianna walk away. 

"What a b***h" she said.

"Who's this William guy?" I blurted out.

"Well, I advise you to not even go near him. Hes a very popular guy and he kind of has anger issues. But his animal's hormones cause him to be like that," she said.

I let out a shaky laugh. "Animal hormones? You're joking right?" I said.

Hannah looked at me for a few seconds nervously and it looked like she concluded something. 

"Oh you know, boys. And their hormones!" she said quickly.

The bell rang, she looked back as if looking for someone and her eyes widened just a bit. 

She grabbed my arm. "Hey maybe we should get going!" She said. 

She rushed me, practically running, into the huge building.

I tried to look back at was she was looking at and all I saw was a bunch of people walking around. 

I was a little upset that I couldn't find her target. I shrugged it off, and let her follow me into a big room which looked like an Office.

"Hello Mrs. Morane" Hannah said.

The women at the desk smiled at Hannah before quickly saying, "Hello Hannah."

She looked down at her papers then looked back up.

"Who's your little friend? Ive never seen her," she said.

"This is Jessie. Um Jessie..." Hannah stopped. 

"Collins. Jessie Collins," I said.

The secretary beamed. "Oh why youre the new girl!" she said.

She shuffled through some papers before handing me a packet, a schedule and a brochure of the town and the school.

I looked at my schedule and looked at Hannah.

"I'll help you," she whispered. 

I smiled and as Hannah ushered me out. "Bye Mrs. Morane!" She yelled.

I hummed as I followed behind Hannah and looked around the beautiful corridors. It was fancy I tell you. 

Hannah stopped in the hallway and looked at all the lockers. Then she furrowed her eyebrows.

"Oh, here," I said and passed her my schedule.

She looked down the hall and then ran down the corridor and through double doors. 

"Hannah!" I yelled out.

I became frustrated. My notebook fell out of my grip and I had to run back to get it.

Once I turned around to run after Hannah, I bumped into something solid.

"Watch where you're going" a deep, raspy voice said.

The voice came from the heavens, because next thing I knew my heart was beating at 100 miles per second and my whole body stopped functioning. 

I really hadn't looked to where I've been going.

"I'm so sorry" I said. I looked up to see a pair of deep green eyes looking directly at me.

These were the eyes that were exactly in my dreams. I shivered. 

They were so vibrant that I thought they could see right through me. And his face, he had a gorgeous face. 

His face looks like it was chiseled from actual Grecian marble.

I wanted to run my fingers down his sculptured jaw and kiss hi- Jessie concentrate! 

I blushed after thinking such naughty things and he cleared his throat.

"Weirdo" he murmured as he walked past me, not before bumping hard into my shoulder on purpose.

My heart broke into five million pieces after that one word.

William's POV

I wasn't ready at all.

My whole world stopped as I looked into the dark, green eyes looking at me.

I looked back one more time at my beautiful mate and watched carefully as she looked hurt and upset as she walked away.

Fuck, I didn't mean to hurt her. I didn't mean to hurt my little mate.

'Mine' my wolf chanted out as I tried to keep him calm.

I didnt know if I should go back to the love of my life and apologize but that won't make sense. No I need to focus. Im the Alpha of this pack and its my duty to keep it strong and not focus on a mate.

But, I can't reject her. Rejecting your mate is like loosing your humanity. Your other half. 

'Shes the only one who will make you and the Pack stronger. Shes your mate and the Luna and she will serve as a leader too.' my wolf said.

'Shut up!' I spat and he growled inside.

No, I'll just pretend she doesn't exist. I just need to control myself around her. But what if I loose her later? What will I be saying? A little sorry wont do anything.

Its true what my Father said. When I was young, he would tell me bedtime stories about a prince finding his princess. But we both knew he was talking about the fate of two mates who were meant to be together no matter what.

"Dude, you okay?" Blake asked me. I glared at him then back down at the food on the table.

"Im sorry just some pack problems." I barely said, almost a whisper.

He nodded his head in response, clearly understanding. I looked around the cafeteria everywhere for her but she was no where to be seen. Shes supposed to be sitting next to me and only me. Shes mine.

Mine.

Brianna stalked over to my seat and I smiled. This has to be probably the only distraction I can get right now. I let her sit on my lap and she kissed my neck. "Hey baby" she cooed.

I didn't know whether to throw her off my lap and hold my mate instead or vomit. I swallowed hard, "Hey," I said.

She giggled in my ear and looked at me long enough for my attention then leaned in to kiss me like always.

I kissed her back and let go. My smile faded as in the corner of my eye I spotted my beautiful mate chatting with Hannah and saw her quickly glance at my direction in small shock then went back to talking to her new friend nervously.

She obviously saw my actions with Brianna and I immediately regret it.

Fuck. Im so stupid, I should've known she was going to pop up in the cafeteria. But now there's nothing I can do about it, I can't turn back time.

"William. Why are you ignoring me?" Brianna said and looked to where I was looking too.

"Don't tell me you like her. Shes so ugly. Look at her shes not beautiful," She said.

Anger boiled inside me as Brianna kept talking bad about my beautiful mate. She was absolutely gorgeous.

Strawberry blonde waves spilling past her shoulders down her back. Beautiful big green eyes that I could stare at all day. And her lips, I want to feel her lips. I want to kiss them and I want to feel them all around me.

I shuddered. Calm down, William.

"Brianna, I'll talk to you later. I, uh, have to go," I said.

She nodded and got off my lap and she went and talked to Blake. As I made a bee line to the cafeteria doors, I couldn't help but hear my mate's sweet angelic voice laughing.

I smiled but then that quickly faded. I can't have her.

Not now I suppose.

I didnt go to the bathroom. I didn't have to pee. I wanted to run. Let my wolf out and free from all the stress. I guess someone was going to be taking a little bit of drinks today.

I ran and ran through the thick forest and the smell of pine just intrigued me. I was sprinting on all my fours before stripping down to just my boxers.

I was running fast and I could feel the cool wind whip past my brown fur. I had to be careful around these forests. Rogues, wolves with no pack who go around killing, could attack at any moment. And if they did, they would also be trespassing my territory.

I shrugged that off remembering I wanted to cool off. I stopped at the top of a cliff and looked down at the beautiful waterfall.

It was amazing here. I remember when my Father would take me around here and we would pick pebbles from the water and examine the beauty of the rocks.

"Alpha William?" An unknowned person said. I turned around and growled not knowing who it was and saw it was Jane. She was an enforcer's mate. I spoke to her through mind link.

'Jane may I ask what you're doing out here? Do you know the high chance of you getting attacked by a Rouge?' I said.

'Yes, I do. Im sorry Alpha. I was admiring the waterfall. I kind of visit here often too. Uh, I guess I should get going. You caught me, sorry.' She said.

'No, I have no problem with you admiring the waterfall. As long as youre here with me there won't be a problem. But I must go in a few minutes. I left school to cool off.' I said.

'Whats the matter Alpha?' She asked.

'Please call me William.' I pressed.

'Okay, uh.. William.' She said.

'Mate problems. You know. Same old, same old.' I said griefly.

'Oh I get it. Wait! Did you say mate? Oh my god we're having a Luna!" She exclaimed.

'Yes I know, haha. Shes gorgeous."

She smiled and sat on the cliff. I walked around for a while before heading back to Jane and informing her that I had to go. She shifted into her golden wolf which was much smaller than mine and headed to the Pack House's direction.

I ran back to the school's direction. Before I crossed the tree line, I shifted. The bell just rang I could hear it. I grabbed my pants and pulled them on.

I was going to have to get another shirt from my car which means the girls get to see the Alpha shirtless once again.

I smirked.
