The sense of accomplishment from seeing the results of their efforts triggered a significant release of dopamine. By dinner time, morale within the group began to rise steadily, and everyone felt they could continue living on the island like Charlie, holding on as long as possible until rescue arrived. However, Charlie wasn't as optimistic as they were. After dinner, those with shelters returned to their living spaces.
