Chapter 5

The next morning when Nami woke up she didn't remember a thing she went downstairs her parents already at church and Nami saw her older sister.

"Jena?" she said excitedly the first time in months her smiled seemed genuine as she ran up to her older sister and hugged her deeply. This was the best surprise she could have ever asked for. "Hey kiddo how you been?" Jena said hugging her kid sister tightly as she prepared the table for Nami placing the breakfast she made infront of her. "Listen kiddo... Last night I had to pick you up from a party... A party kiddo since when do you go out partying isn't that like againt biblical rules?" Jena started the conversation out straightforward of course she did they all did this in the military. Nami's smile faded" I don't believe in all of that anymore Jen... I'm sure mom and dad filled you in on what happened in couple of months ago God left me he let that happen to me how am I suppose to trust in a God that allows his kids t go through what I went through?" she defended her change of mindset but was it the right mindset to have?

" Look kiddo... You know I'm not all in this God stuff but one thing I know is that... You were the most shiniest glowing happiest person on this earth when you believed you didn't deserve what happened to you but I can tell you this... The devil is your biggest opponent and he'll always make sure that you get hurt God's plan for you is to prosper and do His will now the devil will do everything in his power to make sure you don't follow God's will for your life the things that happened to you is part of the devils plan"Jena said trying to motivate her kid sister to retry her faith but Nami's wounds were so severe she became hard headed. "Well screw the both of them. If the devil wants me dead he can come and kill me if God wants me alive he should've thought of it Before he let me get r***d!" she yelled out pushed her breakfast aside and walked back upstairs. Only then did Jena realise just how severe the situation truly is.

That same night Nami's parents had a church service in their home Nami HAD to be there it was mandatory. The preacher started off with a prayer as usual then the word was given Hebrews 13:5 "Never will I leave you never will I forsake you". Nami couldn't help but scoff and roll her eyes. The preacher kept on giving the word despite Nami's disapproval. Peter 5:7 "Cast your cares upon the Lord for He cares for you". Matthew 11:28-30.All these scriptures were preached and Nami showed a deep disapproval for it. "Is something wrong Miss Nami? Since when did you show a deep disapproval to scripture?" the preacher suddenly asked..Nami rolled her eyes her arms crossed out against her chest as she stated "Since he left and forshook me... Since he let me go through what I went through when I begged him to help me... Since I was torn and taken of my innocent at the ripe age of 14 since I can't help but feel a dissaporoval of all the promises he made but could never abide by and let me suffer for months!!! He never rescued me he's the all mighty God but where was he when I needed him huh??? Where was he when I struggled when I was being taken advantage of!! All of you preached and brainwashed me to believe that there is a God who cares for his children but it's just some fairytale myth made up by people to worship something that doesn't exist!!!" she yelled out all her feelings towards everyone in the room. It fell silent then the preacher smiled." I know the feeling"he suddenly stated which made Nami look at him with raised eyebrows "We Alk have a time in our life's when we think God forshook us. Where we think he didn't listen when in fact he did. He knows the pain you went through and will surely avenge you for that but you can't stay mad at Him Nami it wasn't His fault the enemy does things too the devil is the..."But he was cut off by Nami" Bullshit..if anything the devil does more good than this so called God!!! All this f*****g God does is cause trouble and cause us to suffer don't you all see!!! You're being brainwashed into believing all this s**t this pastor or whatever had ro offer God is dead and he doesn't care about you all he didn't even care about me!!" she yelled and stormed out of the room.

Jena ran after her" Nami!!!"

Nami stopped in her tracks tears streaming down her face." I'm sorry I ruined this night for mom and dad but I can't take the lies anymore I can't take the lies that this God cares for us when he doesn't Jen I can't!!!" she ran down the street her feet going faster than she ever imagined it to go.
