Because he didn’t work on Sundays, Russ spent the night at Jake’s. They had two bouts of pretty incredible s*x, at least as far Jake was concerned. From Russ’s reaction, he felt the same.
That’s all it is, Jake reminded himself. Good s*x and nothing more, because we needed the tension release. He wasn’t certain that was true on his part, but he wasn’t going to probe his feelings too deeply. He wasn’t in the habit of looking for anything more than what he seemed to have going with Russ. No commitments. Not after Neal. I don’t need that kind of pain again.
“Eggs and bacon or pancakes and bacon?” Jake asked when they made it to the kitchen.
