Monday at the agency began as they usually did, with Jake and Kelly going over their schedule for the week before returning calls and checking their emails from ongoing or potential clients. One email was from a man who wanted a security system installed on his new home. Since that was his specialty, Jake called him, setting up an appointment for the man to come in to discuss the details. He did, a contract was signed, and early that afternoon Jake took off to ‘work his magic’ for the homeowner, as Kelly insisted on calling it. While he was doing that, she began to investigate a woman involved in a legal battle with her ex-husband. He had remarried and wanted full custody of their two minor children, considering her unable to handle them on her own while working a fulltime job.
