Noah POV

I have agreed to let her be for now. In exchange I keep my position in the pack as well as his house and he has to keep us being werewolves all a secret from her. I am not completely satisfied by it. As I practically made a deal agreeing to Austin keeping his little lamb, while I keep a house that reeks of him. Every part of the house remembers me of him. However at least I now have a place to stay and people who still respect me. I do feel like as if I am going through a divorce with some sugar daddy, getting half of their assets. 

 She won't be staying for long. He can't actually abandon the pack either so it won't be too long until he will be crawling back all heart broken. Waiting for someone to hold him and pick him up before all the pack members see what kind of mess their alpha is. That will be my cue to scoop him back up.

That day, after seeing them together, Austin came back home eventually. He didn't stay for long though. After me throwing around stuff and setting our deal. He grabbed some clothes and took his truck. Leaving me to clean the mess. Which most of it I made. But still..... 

Probably he went to her immediately. They must be all lovely dovely. The thought makes my stomach turn upside down. Now I am the one in need for fresh air. Really fresh air though and not just some quick screw session. Going for a run, I shift and run through the woods. The fresh smell of trees makes my stomach calm back down. Clear cold water running down the creek tastes refreshing. It comes from one of the mountains, being clean and clear so I can see all the colourful pebbles. The sound of the water rushing down is soothing. With a leap over the creek, I continue walking around. Sniffing the air, until I smell something familiar. 

Austin...

Through the trees I could see his wolf form running. He is with someone else. I think I do smell a vague smell of Olivia. My curiosity takes me over so I move. My back feet give me a good push and I run to cut them off at the grass fields. My guts tell me something is off. Standing on a higher hill close to the fields, I can oversee all. Gilroy becomes visible, but he is carrying someone. J follows soon with Olivia on his back. But I am most concerned with the little blurb thats sitting on Gilroy's back. My stomach and wolf already  know who it is. Jumping off the hill I make myself visible and run to cut them off. Linking with other members of the pack that I am closest with. 

*HE BROKE THE DEAL. FIELDS NOW*

Gilroy notices me linking with the pack. As J blocks my way, Gilroy drops THAT human at the tree. Away from me. 

*You broke your deal! I told you she was forbidden to know about us!* Growling lowly at J who is standing in my way. He is just a kid, I don't want to hurt him one bit. However I might if he keeps blocking me. Thankfully he moves. Probably Gilroy told him so, as he takes his place. Charging at me. 

*The deal was to keep us a secret. She does not know anything. We are just wild wolves to her.* Growling at his words we both increase our speed. Charging at each other in full speed. Jumping up. He holds back and so do I. Hurting him won't play out in my favour. As it will turn the whole pack against me. 

We come to a halt, I get a glimpse of her riding off with Olivia on the back of J. 

*You basically introduced your wolf form to her. In no time there will be another slip and she will know.* As I am still respected in the pack. Through my link almost all members of the pack showed up. However not all show my concern. Gale joins besides me. While Conan and some others are slowly joining Gilroy. 

*They know her?* I could spit out of anger. He has been promenading her to the others? How could they otherwise not be concerned by the sight of her on J's back. There was literally no reaction to a human riding one of us. 

*You showed who we are to that girl?* Gale joins

*What about Noah? Bringing an outsider into our secret can be so dangerous* some other wolves showed their concern. Backing me up, as they see me as the first mate of Austin. Thus their male Luna. Their Luna who got betrayed by their Alpha. A big shock for some as Austin has a loyal reputation as the same is expected from the pack members. 

*You will respect my decision. She is now one of us. She is marked and she is mine! My mate and YOUR luna* Austin commands. 

*You are not keeping your word. What kind of leader does that!* I snap back at him. All the other wolves on my side growling in agreement. So like that he announces another Luna? 

*I have not broken any promise or agreement. She is unaware that we are werewolves.* Austin tries to reason with the others. 

*Then how are you gonna explain it to her when you and everyone else disappear and wolves turn up besides her?* I comment a bit cocky. 

*With time I am planning to break my promise* he states plainly. 

*You all will get the chance to meet her, get to know her and learn to trust her. I will eventually show and explain it all to her. It is your choice if you condemn my choices. Those who can not believe or trust me and my actions are free to leave the pack. However SHE IS MY MATE AND SHE STAYS!* I could sense that Austin was starting to lose his temper. Walking around the members of the pack that have surrounded him. Some wolves started to show doubt on what to do or who to side with. 

I wont be able to stay whenever that happens. Hearing this from him. As if its a set thought. It feels as if a dagger has been used to stab my heart. He is claiming her already as his mate. Now the pieces come together. This is why I felt our connection disappear, he marked her... It wasn't betrayal that made me shrink on my own cold kitchen floor. It was him breaking our connection himself. My eyes flicker to all sides trying to comprehend all of my discoveries. *When that time comes, if you show our secret to her, I will be the first to go..* 

*what?* *whaa what?* *Nooo* members of our pack were now really in a twist with who to side. It was obvious that those who knew already about her existence have no doubt about staying. But the others are completely bewildered. 

*I don't expect anyone to follow me and I am not planning to break the pack. However I won't be staying to see how you make this human your new Luna. Replacing me. And with that destroying our existence. *

*I will respect whatever choice you might take. You will always have a place here in our pack if you decide to return though. That goes for everyone. Even though separated we will always be family. * 

This little piece of ******. He tricked me. Not only is he running away from me with this human. He basically is declaring he will take away my title and position by giving it to her. Family? No one would treat their family in this way. Maybe I should cause some trouble and break his pack. I will show him how fragile his so called family is. After all as another male, even though a Luna, I could be an Alpha if I break the pack up. His human can not lead, or help him. I will take over. 

With a growl I turn my back to him. Walking into the woods away from him and his followers. I know when to withdraw. A handful of wolves follow me. Surprisingly Gale is one of them. I never imagined he would choose me over Austin. 

*Noah Luna? What are we supposed to do?* one of the wolves who followed me, still a young guy shares while shaking a bit. 

*If that human gets to know about us. We will have to rip her throat out. We can not risk her telling the world about us. No matter if we break from the pack. There would be no place on earth safe for us. All because he can not stay loyal to his true first mate. Eventually we will be rewarded and the others will realise that we saved them all. * The 6 wolves that followed me growl in agreement. 

*Ofcourse I know none of us wants to leave and change their life's because of this woman. Also Austin won't keep us unharmed if we hurt her. So we better make sure he never gets the chance to tell her in the first place, to prevent anyone from the pack to get hurt because of her existence.* I am not sure how though, as she already knows about wolves being here. We can not scare her with our wolf forms. 

*I do have an idea.* Gale, with an idea? thats a first and I am very intrigued. 

*She is here because of the festival right? And she is interested in Austin. We will have to change her mind about him and make her reject him.* Gale... I am so blissful to hear that coming from you. Thanks to him I am not the only one looking like a d**k.
