I Don't Think Hello Kitty Suits You Anymore

"So, how did your award-winning plan go?" Emma chirped as we both stopped at her locker so she could fix her makeup and hair. "Horribly," I admit, keeping my head low. The last thing I need is for Hunter to jump back with some bigger and better prank. "Didn't you see him this morning?" She rolls her eyes. "Oh please, he always goes for a morning run before school. It's a football thing. But how could a simple prank like that go wrong?" Anything can go wrong when putting in the hand of Ryleigh Adams herself. "My phone went off before I could even make a mark on his precious little face," I say, each word reminding me of the horrible night. I turn to her for advice. "You don't think he'll seek revenge on me, do you" Emma shrugs, shutting her locker as she readjusts her purse on her shoulder. "I can't speak for him. All I can say is that he likes winning. Rather it is as simple as playing battleship or playing sports. He's very competitive." I sigh. "Great just great. My life is over." "Hey, now. I wouldn't be jumping to conclusions like that just...watch your back for now." She reassures me, but somehow I still managed to feel like I was already digging my grave.  "You're right. I just need to get my mind off everything." I sigh. She begins smirking like she already had something in mind. This was normal for someone like Emma. "Well, if you insist. There's a party Saturday night." "No." I simply say. She knows I don't go to any type of party whatsoever. "Come on! It's our senior year and you still have yet to live!" She says, still trying to get me to go, but I continue to stand my ground. "Emma! You know I don't like these types of things." I remind her. "You never know unless you try it." She points out. "It is one party! I promise if you don't like it we can go home." "Fine." I finally give in knowing I'd never heard the last of it if I didn't. "Whose house is it even at anyways?" "Jack's." She answers. "Jack the jock? As in Madison's soon to be ex-boyfriend?" I raise an eyebrow.  She nods. "It won't be that bad, I promise. But for now, I have to run before I'm late to class." She says as she walks away to the direction of her class. I turn on my heel before walking in the direction of my class as well. Biology. Hunter. Madison. Everything I hates all put together in one class. "I see one of us still haven't kept our end of the deal." Speaking of the devil herself, I turn to face Madison who examined her nails. I furrowed my eyebrows. "What deal?" "May I remind you? I said I want Hunter all to myself, and you were going to help me." She sighs, folding her arms over her chest. "Neither Emma or I agreed to help you with that." I remind her. "Well, I need your help now. I can't get him myself without looking like I'm cheating on Jack. And if he thinks I'm cheating on him, then he'll break up with me and I'll be a single freak like you!" She replies. I roll my eyes. "Aren't you technically cheating on him by sleeping with all of his friends?" "So not the point. So are you going to help me or not?" She questioned rudely. "Hmm, this is a hard one I must say. But being the single freak I am, I'm going to have to go with a hard no on that one." I say sarcastically. She sighs. "You just made the biggest mistake of your life, virgin." I raise an eyebrow. "And how's that?" She begins to smirk rebelliously before letting out a cry for help. "Somebody help! She hit me" she began crying, placing her hands over her cheek. Soon enough, Ms. Rodriguez, my freshman French teacher, also an old hag who hates anyone who breathes in direction comes running over. "What is going on here?!" She demanded.  Madison pointed to me, sobbing. "She hit me!" "What?! No, I didn't!--" "Ms. Adams, principal's office now!" She shouted. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention she especially hates me? Without taking one glance at Madison and her fake tears, I followed Ms. Rodriguez to the principal's office. She opened the door for me as I was faced with the principal himself. He looked over at us in confusion.  "What seems to be the issue here?" Mr. Fitzgerald questioned. "Ms. Adams here hit another student! She deserves detention for a whole week." Ms. Rodriguez falsely accuses me of doing. Mr. Fitzgerald sighs. "Ms. Rodriguez, I've got this. May I speak to Ms. Adams alone please?" She smiles evilly. "You certainly can, Mr. Fitzgerald." She says before exiting the room, closing the door behind her. "Take a seat, please." He says, pointing to the chair in front of his desk. I did as he said, taking a seat before explaining myself. "I promise I didn't do it! I never laid a hand on anyone!--" "Rather you did it or not, we must take what every teacher says seriously. I won't give you detention and have you suffer a week eating lunch with Ms. Rodriguez," He begins. I sigh in relief. "Thank you so much, Mr. Fitzgerald." "But I do have to assign you a punishment. So instead you will be doing the laundry for the football team tomorrow night. They're having a game and our laundry guy is unable to make it." He says. You're telling me I have to spend my Friday night washing sweaty guy clothes?? "Is that clear, Ms. Adams?" He raises his eyebrows. I smile, innocently. "Yes, sir." *** I open the front door to my house, not bothering to enter the kitchen and say a word to my parents who are probably too caught up in their jobs right now. So instead, I dragged my tired self upstairs. I opened my door, dropping my bag into the ground from my shoulder, about ready to crash onto my comfy white duvet until I heard a familiar voice. "You think taking your journal back is going to stop me?" Hunter's voice said, startling me. "What the hell are you doing here?!" I questioned, furious.  "Oh so you can come into my room anytime you want but I'm not allowed in yours? Besides, I missed my Ryleigh. I haven't seen you all day." He smirks as he laid still on my bed with both of his hands intertwined behind his head. "No, you can not. Now get off my bed!" I scold.  "Hmm, no." He answers, taking little time to think. "I might even stay for dinner again." "Hunter I swear to God if you don't get out right now, I will call the cops! I've already got in trouble today and I don't--" "Ooh! Kitten got in trouble?? That's a first."  "Look, can you just leave?" I sigh. "Not until you tell me what happened." "Your psycho ex accused me of hitting her because I refused to help her get with you, now I have to spend my Friday cleaning gross guy clothes--" "You mean Madison?" He questions, and I nod. "Doesn't she have a boyfriend?" "Yes, now can you leave?" I continue.  He gets up from my bed, approaching me. "By the way, you might want to go shopping for new b*a's. I don't think Hello Kitty suits you anymore." I grab a pillow from my bed, before chucking it at him. "Perv!" He only chuckles before climbing out my window and into his.
