Noah was on his way home when he saw Andy at the bus stop waiting for the bus to arrive, and he knew what neighborhood Andy was going to because the most ruthless gang lived there and was curious why, so he decided to follow her without her knowing when the bus came. He got on and sat in a seat where she couldn't see him.
Passenger:that pool girl. She has to be beaten up by gang members and her father. I wish we could help her, but we know what will happen.
While people were gossiping, Noah was just sitting back and listening to what they were saying. He always knew she had come to school and bruised, but never knew how Andy got them, but now he does.
Andy: This is my stop. Can you please let me off? I really need you to know what will happen to me if I don't, because you all always talk as if I can't hear you, so stop the gossip.
Noah was shocked to find out that all these people knew what was happening to Andy, but they never did anything to help what was wrong with people. These days, after Andy got off the bus, Noah followed right behind her and what he saw was not good a group of guys standing in her way.
Andy:Could you please move. I need to get home. You are in my way, but I'm guessing you want, so what do you need?
As Noah hid behind a tree, he heard the men saying about her father owning money and if Andy didn't hand it over, they would hurt her. But to Noah's surprise, Andy didn't look scared of them, so when Andy said that she had no money, one of them stabbed Andy, and she didn't even flinch one bit. Then they took the knife and left, but Andy just kept walking.
Dad:Where have you been, you little brat? You should have been home hours ago, but you didn't know how to go to your room. Then, once you are done, make dinner and if you don't, I will kill you before that gang does.
After Noah heard that he walked around the side of the house and saw Andy taking care of her wound by herself, Noah felt a pain in his gut but left and went home to find his mom waiting at the table with a pile of bills that needed being paid.
Mom:Noah, you are late, and it's not like you get in trouble again, but why do you look like you just witnessed a murder? Is everything OK? Will you tell me why?
Noah didn't feel like talking to anyone about what he saw tonight and now Noah wished he had never followed Andy home, and he felt like a jerk for the way he had treated her, so Noah just shook his head and told his mom he was going to bed.
Jaiden:Hey Noah, did you hear that Andy has a new scare and people are saying that it is from her trying to make people feel sorry? Don't you say that is a real shity thing to do?
Noah just stayed silent, planning on how to find the person who spread this rumor about her scare, but not yet. Noah had to find a way to get answers out of Andy before the teachers saw it, because I knew that they had tried to get her to talk to a counselor about why Andy had bruises and scares.
Noah: Hi freak, I have an idea of how to give you hell today, and it starts with this.
Noah grabbed a water bottle and poured it over Andy and went back to his friends and laughed about it, but he knew that it would help with her new wound she had hidden under her shirt. Noah was never going to tell Andy that he knew what had happened to her.
Andy:Noah, why do you do this when I have done nothing to you? But you insist on making my life hell here. I'm giving you till the end of the day to tell me why, and you know where to find me.
Noah watched as Andy walked away proud of standing up to him and giving him time to tell her why, but they both knew that it could end badly too, but who cares, it was not like he would come. Noah looked at his friends with shock and pride that she actually talked to him instead of giving him the death stare that could make a child run for their life, but then his friends just started to laugh about how stupid Andy was. When they looked at Noah, they stopped laughing and started to run from him.
Noah found Andy by the tree she was sitting underneath yesterday and Noah had a feeling that he shouldn't be there because this was a bad idea.
Andy: So you came to tell me why you always bully me or make me feel like I don't need to be here because I really don't want to be here, but guess what, it was my choice to challenge you, so go on and sit and start talking.
Noah sat down under the tree and they both sat in silence for a while before the bell rang, and it was time to leave school, but Noah wasn't going to let go that easily, but before he could get up. She fell to the ground and was unconscious, so Noah tried to call for help but no one was around, so Noah picked Andy up and took her to the hospital. Instead of going through the front gate, he went through the side one because no one used it.
