1826 Words
Dorian's POV "Dorian, why is your cousin Kelly coming here? I thought he was doing a security contract at a school in Ohio." Dorian looked at Allison, his brow furrowing in confusion. "Kelly found his soulmate in Ohio, and something happened at the school that his mate went to, and everyone believes she died in a fire," he explained. "So until things calm down, the two of them will be staying with us for a little while." "How old is Kelly's soulmate?" Allison asked, concern etched on her face. "She's fifteen," Dorian replied, his voice heavy with concern. "That makes this situation even more complicated." Allison looked at Dorian, her brow furrowed in confusion. "Wait, she's fifteen years old?" Dorian nodded solemnly. "Yes, and we have to make sure she feels safe and supported as she transitions into becoming the future Luna of Kelly's pack." Allison took a deep breath, trying to process the implications of Dorian's words. "We need to find a way to help her adjust without overwhelming her," she said, her determination growing. Dorian then said to Allison, "I'm counting on you to help Dorian's mate. " We need to focus on teaching her how to become the future Luna of Kelly's pack." Allison nodded her head and said, "I agree." A car pulled up the driveway, and Dorian said, "That must be Kelly, coming up the driveway." "I believe you're right, and I think I see his mate in the passenger seat." The car pulls to a stop, and Kelly gets out of it first, and then he goes around and helps Eliana out of it. Allison watched eagerly as the car came to a halt. "Wow, is that Kelly's soulmate?" she asked, her eyes wide with excitement. Dorian nodded, smiling as he replied, "It looks like it. Eliana seems perfect for him." "Kelly, it's wonderful to see you. I hope you managed to get out of Cincinnati without too many issues. "Yeah, it wasn't too bad," Kelly replied, grinning as he adjusted his jacket. Eliana smiled warmly at the group, her presence instantly making everyone feel more at ease. Eliana's POV "Kelly, you didn't tell me that your cousin's pack house was a small castle." "Isn't it incredible?" Kelly said, gesturing toward the impressive structure. Eliana couldn't help but admire the intricate details and the sense of history that surrounded them. "Is your packhouse back in North Carolina a castle too?" Kelly chuckled and said, "Yes, it is a castle in a sort of way. My packhouse is known as Biltmore Estate." Eliana raised her eyebrows in surprise. "Biltmore Estate? I've heard of it, but I didn't realize it was tied to your pack." Kelly nodded, his eyes sparkling with pride. Eliana then says, "Wait, you're a member of the Vanderbilt family, and your family are pure-blood wolves?" Kelly smiled, enjoying the surprise in her voice. "That's right," he replied, leaning back in his chair. "Our lineage goes back generations, intertwining both the human and wolf worlds in a way that has shaped our history." Eliana's eyes widened in amazement as she exclaimed, "Wow!" She then asked, "How are you and Dorian related to each other?" Kelly chuckled softly, appreciating her curiosity. "Dorian is my cousin; our families have been close for centuries." "Is Dorian related to you through your father's side or your mother's side of the family?" Kelly smiled, enjoying the opportunity to share more about her heritage. "He's actually related to me through my mother's side, which makes our bond even stronger given the traditions we uphold together." Eliana says, "That's really cool!" Then they approach the two people who are right in front of them. "Dorian, it is good to see you. How have you been?" "I've been excellent. It's wonderful to see you, Kelly. It's been a while." "Yes, it has. I'm thrilled that you reached out. I hope you and your mate managed to get out of Cincinnati okay." "It wasn't easy to do, but we managed to get out of there. Thank you for letting us stay with you until things settled down and I can get my Luna back up to North Carolina without too many problems." "I thoroughly understand. You and your mate can stay with us as long as you need." "Thank you, Dorian; I sincerely appreciate it." "You're welcome." Eliana then nudged Kelly, signaling him to begin the introductions. Kelly then says, "Eliana, may I introduce you to my cousin Dorian Shank?" Dorian smiled warmly and extended his hand. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Eliana. I've heard so much about you from Kelly." Eliana took his hand and returned the smile. "All good things, I hope, considering that Kelly and I just met yesterday," she replied, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Well, that was enough to have not shut up about you." Dorian chuckled, a hint of mischief in his eyes. "I can assure you, it was all good—his enthusiasm on the phone was infectious, and I must admit, I'm intrigued to learn more about the person who captured his heart so quickly." Eliana smiled warmly at Dorian. "Thank you for saying that; it means a lot to me," she replied, her voice filled with sincerity. "Of course." Dorian grinned, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Eliana, I'd like you to meet my luna, Alison." Eliana turned to Alison, her smile widening. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Alison," she said warmly. "The pleasure is mine," Alison replied, her eyes shining with kindness. Eliana then asked Alison, "Are you a wolf too, Alison?" "Yes, I am," Alison replied with a nod, her expression thoughtful. "I thought I was the only female wolf," she added, a hint of surprise in her voice. "You're not the only one; I thought I was the only female wolf in the world too," Eliana assured her, her enthusiasm evident. "Isn't it amazing to find another like us?" Alison said, her heart swelling with newfound camaraderie. Eliana smiled brightly, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Together, we can explore our strengths and uncover the secrets of our kind," she said. Alison nodded eagerly, feeling a sense of belonging she had never experienced before. "I can't wait to learn more and share our stories; the outcome could change everything for us," she replied, her voice filled with hope. Dorian then said, "Shall we go inside?" They exchanged glances, a silent agreement passing between them. Kelly, Eliana, Dorian, and Alison enter through the front door of the castle. As they stepped through the door, they were greeted by many wolves in the house. Inside the modern-day castle, the interior blended historical charm with contemporary design. High ceilings and large windows allowed natural light to flood the open space, illuminating the polished stone floors and elegant furnishings. Rich tapestries adorned the walls, telling tales of ancient battles and heroic deeds. In stark contrast, sleek furniture and state-of-the-art technology created a comfortable yet sophisticated atmosphere. The scent of fresh herbs from the kitchen wafted through the air, mingling with the faint sound of wolves softly howling in the distance. A cozy fireplace crackled in the corner, inviting the group to gather and share their stories. Eliana says, "Wow! This place is beautiful!" Kelly nodded in agreement, saying, "Absolutely, Eliana! The furnishings truly create a unique ambiance." Dorian smiled at Eliana, grateful for her kind words. "Thank you! I'm glad you like the pack house," he replied, appreciating the compliment. Eliana then turned to Dorian and asked, "How many pack members are in your pack?" Dorian responded, "There are over 500 members in my pack." Eliana's eyes widened in surprise at the size of the community. "That's incredible! It must be lively with so many people!" Dorian nodded, proud of his pack's strength and unity. "Hey Kelly. How many members are back in your pack in North Carolina?" Kelly smiled, recalling his community. "We have about 300 members, but every one of them is like family to me," he replied, her voice filled with warmth. "It's a smaller group, but we share a strong bond and support one another through everything." Eliana then says, "I look forward to being their luna." Dorian nodded, proud of his pack's strength and unity. Kelly then says, "I’m thrilled to hear that, my love. I have a good feeling that you're going to be a fantastic luna for my pack." Eliana smiled, her heart swelling with excitement at the thought of her new role. "I can't wait to meet everyone and start building those connections," she said, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. As she spoke, a sense of purpose enveloped her, igniting a fire within that she had never felt before. Kelly took her hand, squeezing it gently. "Together, we will create a home where everyone feels valued and loved." Eliana nodded, feeling a surge of determination. "I believe we can make a real difference," she replied, envisioning the vibrant community they would nurture together. "I entirely agree with you, Eliana," Kelly said, his voice filled with conviction. "Kelly. Eliana. If you'll follow me. I'll show you to your guest room," says Dorian with a sincere tone. They make their way upstairs to the third floor and enter the last bedroom down the hallway to the right. Dorian opens the door, and everyone enters the room. The master guest room is spacious and elegantly designed, with soft, neutral tones that create a calming atmosphere. A king-sized bed adorned with plush pillows and a cozy throw blanket takes center stage, inviting relaxation after a long day. Large windows allow natural light to flood the space, highlighting the tasteful décor and framed artwork on the walls. There’s a comfortable seating area by the window, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or reading a book. A sleek dresser and a well-organized closet offer ample storage, while an en-suite bathroom features modern fixtures and a luxurious shower. Overall, the room is a perfect blend of comfort and style, making guests feel right at home. Eliana walks into the bedroom and gasps, "Wow, this bedroom looks wonderful!" Kelly nodded his head in agreement to what Eliana said. Eliana walks around the room and looks at it with amazement. Dorian then announces his departure to allow you two to settle in. Then he and Alison leave the room. Eliana then says, "What should we do now?" "Why don't you go and take a shower?" Eliana smiled at the suggestion, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "That sounds perfect!" As she headed toward the bathroom, she added, "I'll feel so refreshed after that." Kelly leaned back against the bed, contemplating calling his parents while Eliana takes a shower. He picked up his phone, hesitating for a moment before dialing the familiar number. The sound of water running filled the air, creating a soothing backdrop as he waited for the call to connect, hoping to share his good news with his parents.
