I am Oumou Jallow by name who lives with his family members I have 8 brothers and 2 sisters I was born in a small village called Sare Gainako and I started going to school while I was five years old and my mother passed out when I was in grade three since the I have been living with my stepmother who has been making me feel horrible in front of my father My father never said anything about my my stepmother is treating me the only time I have peace in me is when my elder brothers and sisters come home for the holidays an she will stay pretending to be good to my while she was the worse person I have ever seen in my life my brother always ask me if am ok I always tell them yes because if I don’t say yes if they go back I will stay from number one again I was going to school to and doing all the house work all by myself and it goes with shouting and beating all my body was paining if I go to school I can’t even concentrate I will be always sleeping , until one day my teacher ask me u don’t use to go out of break and u always sleep in side the class I told him nothing then he asked me to follow him to his office then I did that’s time I was in grade eight . He asked me to sit down I did then he said Oumou what is the problem I tell him I lost my mother at my Grade three an scine then am staying with my father an my stepmother and the only time I have peace in me is when my brother comes back for holidays , my stepmother has made life a living hell for me I always work eating is the problem then my teacher asked me what about ur father I told him he is there and he ask if I can give him my father’s number i say know if I do that he will tell my stepmother that’s mean am date no he ask ok can I have ur brothers number I give him he call the elders one the following day he comes direct to the school the time I close he take me home then he told me go in I will wait outside an see what mother I say okay . The moment I enter the house she starts again where u don’t at school till by this time the she starts beating me up my brother walks in and saw that if u see how she jump and my brother said ah ok this is what u do behind us really she said we where just playing my brother says you think I don’t know I know everything now but for u I will not say anything he asked me to take my thing then we left .
