❝ memories— it's okay if it hurts when you think about them because it means you were sincere.❞ 11|   Memories Aviana Sanchez | | Day 1: 8 January, 11 am | "Everyone grab two handholds on the mat. Nisrina and Aviana stand on opposite sides so that the strength will even out." That was outright sexism. Males aren't the only ones gifted with physical strength. Hmmph. Nisrina and I took the handholds on the opposite ends and the boys started to grab the remaining handholds. I was in between Isaiah and Jaden whereas Nisrina was in between Matthia and Andre. "I will fall off the platform first to make sure that the mat is sturdy, next will be Aviana." Instructor Lin pointed at me. Shit, I don't like leaving myself in someone else's hands. Everyone stretched the mat and stood in the "sturdy stance" so that we will be able to receive the fall safely, so as to not injure ourselves all the person falling.   Soon enough it was my turn, "Aviana come up." Thump. Thump. Thump. Am I walking so loud? It's your heartbeat dumbass. My subconscious bit back. I felt my palms get sweaty and my eyes blurring a little. I blink my eyes rapidly. My sight comes back into focus. I stood at the edge of the platform, where I had to fall backwards. I put my hands across my chest Instructor Lin shifted my arms a little, "I'll tip you off the edge when you're ready. Take your time." She smiled reassuringly. She would have seen how scared I was. I wasn't afraid of heights, I actually like seeing how small everyone is when you are quite far away. When I lived near Willow Park, there used to be coast and a hidden cliff if you walk far enough into the forest beside the beach.  Andre took me there the first time we snuck out together. It was truly magical. The clear waves gently crashed against the cliff back and forth. The sky was a velvety canvas and millions of stars speckled the night sky. You could see the numerous constellations from where you were standing, it was a phenomenal sight.  I still remember that day clearly.  I wished I had known what the future held so that I held back instead of opening up. | 11 May, 16 months ago | I was in my bed, my thick blankets wrapped around my body. Stranger things playing on my laptop. A bag of chips beside me. My hair was tied up into a messy bun and a few strands of my rebellious brunette hair dangling on my face.  I heard a few knocks on the window and felt like someone was going to break in. "Hello? Anyone there?" I ask trying to mask the noticeable hint of nervousness in my voice. I push away my curtains and open my window. "Hello, this better be wor—" My rambling gets muffled by a warm hand clamping down on my mouth.  My eyes flicker up from the mysterious person's shoes to the jet-black jeans to the fitted Versace shirt to meet ocean blue eyes. The hand clamped down on my mouth slowly let go and my rigid body relaxed once I understood who it was.  I immediately embraced the boy, inhaling his musky cologne. "Don't scare me like that, you know better Andre!" I huffed, my face still buried in his chest. "Did my princess get scared?" Andre whispered while leaving a small kiss in my hair. "Who is whose princess?" I arched an eyebrow and crossed my arms in front of him. "You're cute." He bopped my nose, his eyes shining with amusement. "What brings you so late here, don't you know that this princess needs her beauty sleep?" I try to act annoyed. "By the looks of it, I don't think you were sleeping at all, hermosa. I'm here to take you away." He winked. "I'm waiting for my prince charming so bug off," I say playfully. "Sorry princess whoever that prince charming is definitely has to f**k off unless he wants to meet my fist. So shall we?" He smirked. "Let me change and I'll be right out," I say and turn to get another set of clothes. He fingers wrapped around my wrist and he gently tugged me back into his arms.  An arm snaked around my waist and he pushed a strand of hair out of my eyes and placed it behind my ear, "You look as beautiful as is in your sweatpants and oversized t-shirt princess, just come down. My car is out front." You look as beautiful as is. A small blush covered my face and I looked down shy. With just a few words the boy in front me manages to make me swoon. "Don't hide that blush from me hermosa." He teased me. "Shut up and wait for me downstairs.." I gently push him out of the window.  — love, L
